Emily in Paris Renewed for Season 5 at Netflix

Emily in Paris will return for a fifth season on Netflix!

The renewal comes days after Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 dropped on Thursday, September 12. Lily Collins broke the news on Good Morning America and shared a reel on Instagram, saying, “There’s no place like Rome.”

After all, despite the show’s title, Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 10, “All Roads to Lead Rome,” sees Emily move to Italy. That big change comes after Emily meets and falls for Marcello — and winds up as the lead of the account for his family’s business. Plus, Sylvie puts Emily in charge of Agence Grateau’s Rome office.

“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance. We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time,” Collins told Tudum.

“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” creator, executive producer, and writer Darren Star said in a statement.

That’s right; Emily in Paris Season 5 will feature Paris and Rome.

Even though the season’s cliffhanger teases that Gabriel may travel to Rome to win Emily back, Emily isn’t leaving Paris behind. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome,” Star told Netflix’s Tudum.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 premiered in August and ranked #1 on the Netflix Global Top 10. The season reached 19.9M views in its first four days, placing it in the Top 10 in 93 countries, and has remained on the list for four consecutive weeks since. 

Alongside Collins, Emily in Paris stars Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, and Eugenio Franceschini.
