Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV! Our picks for the week of August 18th include long-awaited premieres to stream, animated series, and season finales.

This week, we feature Orphan Black: Echoes, Untold, Pachinko, and more!

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

OceanXplorers – Sunday, August 18th

The docu-series follows the explorers aboard the OceanXplorer as they research the ocean. Partnered with National Geographic, these explorers set out to confirm or deny some of the ocean’s mysteries. OceanXplorers premieres its first two episodes on Sunday, August 18th on Disney+ and Hulu.

Episode 1 Description: The team travels to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean to reveal the greatest secrets in the lives of the North Atlantic humpback whale; they witness a mother defend her calf in the ultimate ocean battle with a pack of orcas.

Episode 2 Description: In the Azores, the team follows the elusive sperm whales to their hunting grounds a mile beneath the surface, where they discover the secret lives of these deep-diving whales.

Orphan Black: Echoes – Sunday, August 18th

Everyone is going through something on this episode. Lucy takes care of Craig after his gunshot wound, Xander has a revelation while using the memory drug, and Kira is one step closer to Darros’ plan. Orphan Black: Echoes airs Sunday, August 18th at 10/9c on AMC and BBC America.

Episode Description: Lucy nurses Craig’s gunshot wound as he fights for his life, Xander has a revelation while on the memory drug that may cause him to abandon his loyalty to Darros, and Kira gets closer to uncovering Darros’ master plan.

Futurama – Monday, August 19th

On a brand new episode of Futurama, Bender decides to become a matador and bug fight. Futurama Season 12 Episode 4, “Beauty and the Bug,” is available for streaming on Monday, August 19th on Hulu.

Episode Description: Bender becomes a matador in the sport of bug fighting.

While Amara surprises them by showing up for Thanksgiving, Nate begs Simone to tell her about her health. In the meantime, Marcus tries to bond with Noah. All American: Homecoming Season 3 Episode 7, “Lift Me Up,” airs Monday, August 19th at 8/7c on The CW.

Episode Description: Nate urges Simone to let Amara know what is going on with her health; Amara surprises everyone and returns to Bringston for Thanksgiving; Marcus tries to bond with Noah; Cam wonders if Keisha and JR are spending too much time together.

Untold – Tuesday, August 20th

As a series of documentaries, Untold continues to tell different stories this August. Volume 4 will tell the story of Air McNair’s murder. Untold premieres Tuesday, August 20th on Netflix.

Series Description: Untold is a series of sports documentary films distributed on Netflix.

Back to 15 – Wednesday, August 21st

Back to 15 is coming to an end with Season 3. The final season will bring closure to Anita’s journey as she traveled from 30 to 15 to fix everyone’s life. Back to 15 Season 3 premieres Wednesday, August 21st on Netflix.

Series Description: Thirty-year-old Anita travels back to age 15 and starts meddling with everybody’s lives, until she realizes the only life that needs fixing is her own.

Reasonable Doubt – Thursday, August 22nd

Even though she should have taken more time off, Jax returns to work and begins to feel the pressure from her job, friends, and Lewis. This pressure might backfire on her when she brings on a new lawyer to help with a case. Reasonable Doubt returns on Thursday, August 22nd on Hulu. 

Episode 1 Description: After receiving terrible news from a close friend, Jax Stewart returns to work sooner than she expected causing her to feel pressure from work, her friends and Lewis.

Episode 2 Description: Jax brings in a new lawyer to help with Shanelle’s case; however, when they disagree on tactics, Jax goes behind his back, a move that backfires in an unexpected way.

That 90’s Show – Thursday, August 22nd

New Summer adventures follow Leia Forman and her friends as she tries to convince her mom to move back home. That 90’s Show Part 3 premieres Thursday, August 22nd on Netflix.

Episode Description: In the summer of 1995, Leia Forman makes friends with a new generation of Point Place kids while visiting her grandparents, Red and Kitty, in Wisconsin.

Pachinko – Friday, August 23rd

After over two years of hiatus, Pachinko returns for Season 2. The show follows the hopes and dreams of generations of a Korean immigrant family. Pachinko Season 2 premieres Friday, August 23rd on Apple TV+.

Series Description: The hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family, beginning with a story of a forbidden romance that leads to a sweeping saga taking place in Korea, Japan and America.

Lady in the Lake – Friday, August 23rd

After arrests and confessions are made regarding Cleo’s case, Lady in the Lake is one step closer to its end. Lady in the Lake Season 1 finale airs Friday, August 23rd on Apple TV+.

Episode Description: In 60s Baltimore, an aspiring reporter pursues the murder of a forgotten young woman.

The Magic of Lemon Drops – Saturday, August 24th

Lolly always wondered what her life would have been like had she made different decisions. Now that Aunt Gert has gifted her three magical lemon drops, she has the opportunity to do so. The Magic of Lemon Drops premieres Saturday, August 24th at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.

Movie Description: When Lolly’s Aunt Gert gives her three magical lemon drops, she gets to experience what her life would have been like if she had made different choices and lived those unfulfilled dreams.
