A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (Netflix) – August 1

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, this series follows Pip as she investigates the murder of Andie Bell; Pip’s determined to prove that the police got the wrong guy. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder premieres on August 1 on Netflix.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 (Netflix) – August 8

The Hargreeves have been stripped of their powers and must find their place in the world again. But they’ll have to join forces again in order to save the day one last time. The final season of The Umbrella Academy premieres on August 8 on Netflix.

The BTS “hiatus” continues with Jimin and Jung Kook taking us along on their adventures. Are You Sure?! premieres with two episodes on August 8 with new episodes releasing weekly.

The Instigators (Apple TV+) – August 9

After their heist goes wrong, Rory and Cobby will have to work together to escape the cops, politicians, and crime bosses who are hunting them down. The Instigators premieres on August 9 on Apple TV+.

Film Description: Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck) are reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to rob a corrupt politician’s ill-gained earnings. But when the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, pursued not only by police but also by backward bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses. SEAL Team Season 7 (Paramount+) – August 11

Bravo team heads out for one final mission. The final season of SEAL Team premieres with two episodes on Paramount+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In the final season, Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) struggles to balance his warrior’s existence with the responsibilities of single fatherhood. Ray Perry (Brown Jr.), his trusted second in command, questions whether he will be able to leave the battlefield behind as his retirement nears. Bad Monkey (Apple TV+) – August 14

After stumbling upon a potential murder case, a health inspector realizes if he can solve this crime and prove murder, he can get his job back with the Miami Police Department. Bad Monkey premieres with two episodes on August 14 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Bad Monkey tells the story of Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), who has been bounced from the Miami Police Department and is now a health inspector in the Keys. But after stumbling upon a case that begins with a human arm fished up by tourists, he realizes that if he can prove murder, he’ll be back in. He just needs to get past a trove of Floridian oddballs and one bad monkey.

JACKPOT! (Prime Video) – August 15

Upon winning the lottery, the winner will have to survive until sundown to claim the money. Katie unexpectedly has the winning ticket, and she teams up with a lottery protection agent to increase her chances of surviving the day. JACKPOT! premieres on August 15 on Prime Video.

When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Bel-Air Season 3 (Peacock) – August 15

It’s summer break, and Will and Carlton decide to work together, which ends up highlighting their differences. Bel-Air Season 3 premieres with three episodes on August 15 on Peacock with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In season three, school’s out for the summer, and Will is doing Bel-Air his way. No Gain No Love (Prime Vide0) – August 26

If you’re in the mood for some romance served with a side of fake dating, look no further then this k-drama that finds Hae-yeong and Ji-uk getting fake-married so Hae-yeong can get a promotion at work. No Gain No Love premieres on August 26 on Prime Video with new episodes releasing every Monday and Tuesday.

Series Description: When it comes to family, love, or work, Son Hae-yeong, played by Shin Mina, has encountered loss after loss. This season finds our trio LA-bound as they meet with a studio that wants to adapt their podcast into a feature film. Meanwhile, there’s still the mystery of Sazz’s death to solve. Only Murders in the Building Season 4 premieres with one episode on August 27 on Hulu with new episodes releasing weekly.

Now on his own, Sauron begins monitoring the creation of the Rings of Power. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 premieres on August 29 on Prime Video.
