Preview — Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episode 6: Willard R. Abbott

Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episode 6, “Willard R. Abbott,” sets up for a historical post-Oscars outing with June Diane Raphael’s return and an honorary ceremony not for the teachers this time but for the school’s namesake.

When Abbott is deemed a historical landmark by the city of Philadelphia, the staff are divided by the decision.

Ava and Janine are excited about the extra attention the recognition will bring to their school. However, Barbara and Melissa are not so easily won over by the prestigious honor.

With a long history of problematic behavior associated with most institute namesakes and the financial burdens historical landmark designations can bring, it should be no surprise that the ceremony does not go as planned.

The episode will feature a classic Barbara and Melissa team-up and a late-night study session for our favorite quirky trio of coworkers: Janine, Gregory, and Jacob.

And if we are lucky, we might get some one-on-one time between our favorite “Will they? Won’t they?” pairing.

“Willard R. Abbott” will also air on ABC at a special time after the 2024 Oscars ceremony because there’s no better consolation prize than a new episode of Abbott Elementary!

Episode Description: Abbott Elementary is deemed a Philadelphia historical landmark, much to Ava and Janine’s delight; however, Barbara and Melissa are not as impressed. The school plans a celebration in honor of its namesake, but not everything goes as planned.
