ZOMBIES 4 Greenlit by Disney Branded Television with ‘ZOMBIES’ Stars Set to Return
The ZOMBIES franchise is undead and well!
ZOMBIES 4, the latest movie in the franchise, has been greenlit by Disney Branded Television. Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, made the announcement during the 2024 Television Critics Association winter press tour.
The good news doesn’t stop there! The franchise’s first-ever animated series, ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series, will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ this summer.

ZOMBIES 4 “follows Zed and Addison as they embark on a road trip the summer after their first year of college. As adventures unfold, they unexpectedly discover the warring worlds of Sunnyside and Shadyside and come into contact with two new groups of monsters,” per its synopsis.
Production will begin next month in New Zealand, with Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim reprising their roles as Addison and Zed, Seabrook’s star-crossed zombie/cheerleader couple. The duo will also executive produce ZOMBIES 4.
Manheim celebrated the news on Instagram, writing, “The adventure continues…” Donnelly shared her post, with Manheim commenting, “WE DID IT.”
ZOMBIES 4 will also see ZOMBIES stars Chandler Kinney and Kylee Russell returning as werewolf Willa and loveable zombie Eliza, respectively.

Kinney shared her excitement about the news on X (formerly Twitter). “who’s ready 4 more?” Kinney posted.
Paul Hoen, the director of all three ZOMBIES movies — and a record-setting 16 Disney Channel Original Movies — will also return to helm ZOMBIES 4.
David Light and Joseph Raso wrote the first three films and returned to pen the upcoming movie with Josh Cagan.
Newcomer Freya Skye and The Villains of Valley View‘s Malachi Barton will join the returning stars. They will play new characters, Nova and Victor, “mysterious supernatural strangers whom Zed and Addison encounter during their summer travels.”

Along with Manehim and Donnelly, Hoen, Light, Raso, Jane Fleming, and Mark Ordesky executive produce the film. Mahita P. Simpson is a co-executive producer on ZOMBIES 4, a production of Bloor Street Productions.
