Reacher Season 2 Trailer and Premiere Date Released by Prime Video
After more than a year since Reacher‘s debut, Jack Reacher is returning to the small screen later this year.
Reacher Season 2 premieres with the first three episodes of the eight-episode season on Friday, December 15, on Prime Video. New episodes of the adrenaline-fueled series will be released weekly through the season finale on January 19, 2024.
The show’s sophomore season is based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Lee Child’s global best-selling series. As the trailer shows, Jack Reacher and his friends, members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being targeted and brutally murdered one by one.

“Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley; Karla Dixon, a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell,” per its synopsis.
Together, they will uncover the truth about the mystery that threatens their lives, and Reacher “will stop at nothing” to “protect the members of his unit,” Reacher‘s Season 2 synopsis illuminates.
Prime Video announced in September 2022 that Serinda Swan, Ferdinand Kingsley, Rory Cochrane, Domenick Lombardozzi, Ty Victor Olsson, Josh Blacker, Al Sapienza, Luke Bilyk, Dean McKenzie, Edsson Morales, Andres Collantes, and Shannon Kook-Chun would join Shaun Sipos as new cast members in Season 2.
Reacher‘s second season stars Alan Ritchson in the titular role, with Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Swan as Karla Dixon, and Sipos as David O’Donnell as key members of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit.

Rounding out the cast are Kingsley joins as A.M., a mercenary that homeland security refers to as a “ghost;” Robert Patrick as Shane Langston, head of security for a private defense contractor with a questionable track record; and Lombardozzi as tough NYPD detective Guy Russo.
The show debuted with its entire eight-episode freshman season on February 4, 2022. Prime Video renewed Reacher for Season 2 only a few days later, on February 7, 2022.
“The phenomenal debut of Reacher is a testament to Lee Child’s creation of one of entertainment’s most well-known heroes, Nick Santora’s original approach to the storytelling, Alan’s brilliant embodiment of the character, and the dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera to make such an undeniably bingeworthy series,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said.
“The global impact of Reacher makes it one of Prime Video’s biggest series debuts, and we can’t wait to bring fans a second season of their new favorite show,” Salke added.

“The entire Reacher team—cast, production, writers, etc.—is so happy with the wonderful reception the show has received. Amazon, Skydance, and Paramount have been such fantastic partners, and everyone is excited to roll up their sleeves and get to work on what will be a great Season Two,” Santora said.
“Partnering with Amazon Studios for season one of Reacher was a total delight – they had our backs every step of the way, and it really shows, in every line and every frame. So I’m thrilled we’ll be working together again, for season two. This is very exciting news, and I can’t wait to get started. Reacher couldn’t be in better hands,” Childs said.
Childs executive produces the series written for television by Nick Santora, who also executive produces and serves as showrunner.
Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, and Adam Higgs, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance executive producer Reacher. Amazon Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios produce the series.
