Orphan Black: Echoes Teaser Trailer Released by AMC Networks
The Orphan Black Universe expands with Orphan Black: Echoes on AMC, AMC+, and BBC AMERICA in 2024.
Starring and executive produced by Krysten Ritter, the 10-episode sci-fi thriller takes place in the same world as the Emmy Award-winning series Orphan Black and is set in the near future.
Timed with New York Comic Con, AMC Networks released a first look at the series produced and distributed globally by Boat Rocker. The show is a “deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence.”

Orphan Black: Echoes “follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal,” per its official synopsis.
Krysten Ritter stars in a series regular role as “Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world.” The teaser trailer shows Lucy’s confusion after a procedure that leads the protagonist to discover who she is.
The new footage of Orphan Black: Echoes also sees Keeley Hawes as “a perceptive but sensitive scientist who finds herself at odds with her own moral code when circumstances lead her to make an unthinkable choice.”
Amanda Fix stars as a salty teen named Jules, who is trying to find herself and “the newly adopted daughter of wealthy parents, she is tough as nails, a little reckless but brutally smart.”

Orphan Black: Echoes‘s teaser trailer also gives a glimpse of Avan Jogia as Lucy’s boyfriend Jack, who AMC Networks describes as “a soft-spoken former army medic and single father. He has devoted his life to raising his daughter and discovers the woman he loves has an unimaginable secret.”
In tandem with the first-look images and teaser trailer, AMC Networks also announced that Rya Kihlstedt and James Hiroyuki Liao have joined Orphan Black: Echoes‘s cast in series regular roles, while Reed Diamond will recur throughout the first season as a guest star.
Kihlstedt will portray Eleanor “a brilliant, tough as nails neuroscientist, who is deeply loyal to the people she’s close to, including her wife and their son.” She was raised in a working-class family and is dedicated to making a breakthrough in her research.
Meanwhile, Hiroyuki Liao will star as Darros, “an extremely powerful self-made billionaire with a troubled past.” Darros is someone who gets what he wants, no matter what.

Finally, Diamond will appear on Orphan Black: Echoes as Tom, “the former military, no-nonsense Head of Corporate Security for the Darros Foundation.”
Anna Fishko is the show’s creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer. John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original series who also directed 17 episodes across its five seasons, directs and executive produces Orphan Black: Echoes.
David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, executive producers from Boat Rocker on the original Orphan Black series, return as executive producers on the new series. Nick Nantell and Kerry Appleyard also executive produce for Boat Rocker alongside Katie O’Connell Marsh.
Boat Rocker manages the Orphan Black global franchise, including content distribution and consumer products.
