Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder Tackle ‘The Curse’ in Trailer for SHOWTIME Series

News

The highly-anticipated trailer for SHOWTIME’s The Curse is here.

Co-produced by SHOWTIME and A24 and starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, and Benny Safdie, the genre-bending show “isn’t your typical home-flipping show.”

The 10-episode show makes its series premiere on Friday, November 10, on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan, ahead of its linear debut on Sunday, November 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

Co-created and executive produced by Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder, The Curse “explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring in their new home-improvement show.”

The show sees Stone and Fielder play husband and wife who make homes that reflect their local community in Española.

The Curse‘s guest stars include Barkhad Abdi, Corbin Bernsen, and Constance Shulman.

The SHOWTIME show’s trailer shows that Safdie’s character attempts to make himself look like a good person by giving a little girl $100, only to take it back from her, presumably when he thinks the cameras aren’t rolling. But they are.

The docu-series footage catches the young girl cursing Safdie, and The Curse‘s trailer then rolls into a cascade of bad luck for the couple. Now, everyone will get to see who they really are.

SHOWTIME announced the show’s premiere date last month, revealing that The Curse would hold its three-episode world premiere at the 2023 New York Film Festival on Thursday, October 12.

Fielder also directs the show. Stone executive produces alongside Dave McCary and Ali Herting through their Fruit Tree banner. Josh Safdie also executive produces through their Elara banner.
