The Santa Clauses Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by Disney+
The Santa Clauses are coming back to town!
Disney Branded Television announced that The Santa Clauses Season 2 would premiere with two episodes on Wednesday, November 8, on Disney+. New episodes will stream weekly until the season finale on December 6.
The Santa Clauses Season 2 will see the Calvin family back in the North Pole, where Scott Calvin maintains his role as Santa Claus after unsuccessfully finding a worthy successor in the show’s debut season.
“Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal to eventually take over the “family business” as Santa Claus. However, a bit of North Pole magic brings an unexpected challenge to Scott’s plan,” per the season’s synopsis.
Alongside Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, The Santa Clauses Season 2 features returning series regulars Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Austin Kane as Cal, and Devin Bright as Noel.
Other returning cast members include Liam Kyle, Isabella Bennett, Sasha Knight, Ruby Jay, Mia Lynn, and Laura San Giacomo. Meanwhile, Matilda Lawler, who starred as Santa’s Chief of Staff Betty, is set to return as a recurring guest star, per TV Line.
A newcomer to The Santa Clauses Season 2 is Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet, who will play “Magnus Antas (aka the Mad Santa), who reigned during the 14th century and is now returning to try and take down Scott Calvin and reclaim the North Pole,” per Variety.
Variety reports that Marta Kessler joins the sleigh with Stonestreet, portraying “Olga, a surly, take-no-prisoners gnome who doesn’t understand “feelings” and “empathy” and sidekick to Magnus.
TV Line shares that Gabriel Iglesias joins The Santa Clauses Season 2 as Kris “Kringle” Moreno, “the owner and operator of a Christmas-themed amusement park called Santaland,” and Tracy Morgan will portray the Easter Bunny.
The spinoff series of The Santa Clause film trilogy premiered with The Santa Clauses Season 1 Episodes 1 and 2, “Chapter One: Good to Ho / Chapter Two: The Secessus Clause,” in November 2022. The show ended its debut season with The Santa Clauses Season 1 Episode 6, “Chapter Six: A Christmas to Remember,” in December 2022.
