Doom Patrol Season 4 Sets October Return on Max
The long-awaited final episodes of Doom Patrol finally have a release date.
Doom Patrol Season 4 will return on Max on Thursday, October 12, with two new episodes. Following the premiere, the show will air one new episode weekly through November 9. The second half of the season will consist of six episodes.
Returning for the final episodes are stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, and Michelle Gomez.
Doom Patrol is executive produced by showrunner Jeremy Carver, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Chris Dingess, and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson.
In the new trailer, the Doom Patrol faces an identity crisis thanks to their lost immortality and decides to go on one last mission to get it back. They plan to face off with Immortus, the villain teased in the first half of the season.
Also shown in the trailer is the return of Timothy Dalton, who plays Niles Caulder.
Casey Brinke (Madeline Zima), who debuted on Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 4, “Casey Patrol,” also appears in the footage holding hands with Jane.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Doom Patrol without some weirdness. Fans can also expect a horde of sentient butts and a dance sequence in the final episodes. You can watch the new action-packed trailer here:
Season 4 mid-season logline: In the series’ gripping final episodes, the Doom Patrol meet old friends and foes as they race to defeat Immortus and get back their longevities. Battling between saving the world and each other, the Doom Patrol are forced to face their deepest fears and decide if they are ready to let go of the past in order to take their future into their own hands… and away from the zombie butts.
The premiere comes ten months after Max confirmed it was canceling Doom Patrol along with fellow DC Comics live-action show Titans.
Titans aired its final episode on May 11, 2023.
Fan speculation about Doom Patrol‘s final episodes being shelved led to DC Studios head James Gunn taking to social media app Threads back in July 2023 to confirm the episodes would still debut.
At the time, Gunn could not provide a release date.
Doom Patrol is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on characters created for DC by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani.
