The Gilded Age Season 2 Premiere Date and Teaser Trailer Released by HBO
It’s nearly time to return to The Gilded Age.
After its series premiere with The Gilded Age Season 1 Episode 1, “Never the New,” in January 2022, the drama series will return with its sophomore season on Sunday, October 29, at 9/8c on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
The eight-episode season begins on Easter morning of 1883 when Bertha Russell’s (Carrie Coon) bid for a box at the Academy of Music was rejected.

Per HBO, The Gilded Age Season 2’s synopsis is as follows:
Through the eight episodes of the season, we watch as Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor and the old system and works to not only gain a foothold in Society, but to potentially take a leading role in it. George Russell takes on his own battle with a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh. In the Brook House, Marian continues her journey to find her way in the world secretly teaching at a girls school while much to everyone’s surprise, Ada begins a new courtship. Of course, Agnes approves of none of it. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins to heal from a shocking discovery, and Peggy taps into her activist spirit through her work with T. Thomas Fortune at the NY Globe.
The show concluded its first season in March 2022 with The Gilded Age Season 1 Episode 9, “Let the Tournament Begin.”

“Along with our partners at Universal Television, we couldn’t be prouder to embark on a season two journey with this extraordinarily talented team,” Orsi added.

“The first season of The Gilded Age is the beginning of an epic story that introduced a fascinating world full of intriguing characters. The scope of Julian’s vision is ambitious, and we’re thrilled to continue to explore the depths of this fascinating era with HBO,” Erin Underhill, President of Universal Television, stated.
In May 2022, HBO announced that The Gilded Age Season 2 had begun production in Rhode Island and New York state.
The Gilded Age was created by Julian Fellowes, who also wrote and executive produced the project.
Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield executive produce. Michael Engler directs and executive produces. Sonja Warfield writes and executive produces. The Gilded Age is a co-production between HBO and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
