Fargo‘s ten-episode fifth installment premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, November 21 at 10/9c on FX.

Created by Noah Hawley, this season is set in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2019. Juno Temple stars as Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lyon, who is evading authorities after suddenly plunging back into the life she thought she left behind.

The “seemingly typical Midwestern housewife” has been on Jon Hamm’s North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman’s radar for a long time. His son Gator, played by Joe Keery, “is desperate to prove himself to his larger-than-life father. Too bad he’s hopeless,” per Fargo‘s synopsis.

Roy turns to Ole Munch, portrayed by Sam Spruell, “a shadowy drifter of mysterious origin,” to help him hunt Dot.

David Rysdahl stars as Wayne, Dot’s “well-meaning husband,” while Jennifer Jason Leigh is Wayne’s mother and the CEO of the largest Debt Collection Agency in the country. Eventually, Dot’s behavior catches the eye of Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead  (Richa Moorjani) and North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr (Lamorne Morris).

Lorraine enlists Danish Graves, “her in-house counsel and primary advisor,” to help Dot. “But Dot has an uncanny knack for survival. And with her back to the wall, she’s about to show why one should never provoke a mother Lyon.”

Showrunner, writer, and director Noah Hawley and his production company, 26 Keys, leads the creative team of Fargo‘s latest installment. Warren Littlefield and his production company, The Littlefield Company, also serve as executive producers along with Steve Stark, Kim Todd, and Joel & Ethan Coen.

Fargo is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio.
