Frasier Revival Sets Premiere Date on Paramount+, with Special Premiere on CBS
With this fall marking 30 years since the original show debuted on TV, Frasier will return in the revival series on Paramount+.
Kelsey Grammer will reprise the titular role in the new Paramount+ original series when it premieres with two new episodes on Thursday, October 12.
CBS Television Network will also broadcast a special airing of Frasier‘s two-episode premiere, back-to-back, on Tuesday, October 17, beginning at 9:15 ET/PT.

New episodes of Frasier will stream weekly on Thursdays, exclusively on Paramount+. The show that brings Frasier Crane back to the small screen will also premiere on Friday, October 13, in all other international markets with Paramount+.
Produced by CBS Studios and filmed in front of a live studio audience, the 10-episode season follows the titular character “in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building!” per its synopsis.
Paramount+ announced the Frasier revival in February 2021. “Frasier is one of the most acclaimed comedies in modern television history and truly defines premium storytelling,” David Stapf, President of CBS Studios, said at the time.
“There has long been a call from fans for its return, and that call is now answered thanks to the amazing Kelsey Grammer reprising his iconic role of Dr. Frasier Crane and a brilliant creative plan from Joe, Chris, and Kelsey. We can’t wait to reveal its next chapter on Paramount +,” Stapf added.

“Having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and performing in several, I’d like to congratulate Paramount+ on its entry into the streaming world. I gleefully anticipate sharing the next chapter in the continuing journey of Dr. Frasier Crane,” Kelsey Grammer said.
The original Frasier series, which aired for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2003, is available to stream on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
In February of this year, Paramount+ shared that the new Frasier series started production. The same announcement revealed that director and TV creator James Burrows, who directed episodes of the original series, would direct the first two episodes.
Frasier also stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son Freddy; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor Alan; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’’ colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate Eve; and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew David.

From writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who executive produce with Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon, Frasier is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions.
The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.
