This month, you can fall in love with Alex and Henry on Red, White & Royal Blue, join Luffy on his quest to become the King of the Pirates on One Piece, or solve another mystery with Charles, Oliver, and Mabel on Only Murders in the Building.

Here are our picks for what to stream in August:

Sheila struggles to hold on to all her success when a TV star, Kelly Kilmartin, starts becoming successful with her own exercise empire. The final season of Physical premieres with two episodes on August 2 on Apple TV+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: In the third and concluding season of the series, Sheila finds her status challenged by rising celebrity exercise goddess Kelly Kilmartin (Deschanel), who becomes not only a professional threat, but manages to get in her head. Will Sheila prevail, or will Kelly’s presence in her life undermine the hard-earned healing and stability that Sheila has worked so hard for.

Heartstopper Season 2 (Netflix) – August 3

It’s time to check back in with Nick and Charlie and their friends as this delightful series returns for a second season. Heartstopper Season 2 premieres on August 3 on Netflix.

Season Description: Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship; Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 (Hulu) – August 8

When the leading man of Oliver’s play collapses on opening night, our favorite trio must work together to figure out what happened. Only Murders in the Building Season 2 premieres with two episodes on August 8 on Hulu with new episodes releasing weekly.

Season Description: Season three finds Charles, Oliver & Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short & Selena Gomez) investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show. Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) is a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarks on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together. Curtains up!

Things are about to get a lot more meta as the High School Musical cast decides to shoot their reunion at East High, ruining our Wildcat’s plans to adapt High School Musical 3 into a stage production. The final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premieres with all episodes on August 9 on Disney+.

Season Description: After an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they prepare a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school.

Love in Taipei (Paramount+) – August 10

When Ever goes on a summer trip to Taipei, she learns that she didn’t sign up for an educational summer filled with classes and learning but rather what the locals refer to as “Loveboat.” Love in Taipei premieres on August 10 on Paramount+.

Film Description: Love in Taipei will star Ashley Liao as Ever Wong, whose summer takes an unexpected turn when her parents surprise her with a trip to Taipei for a cultural immersion program. Ever is surprised to discover that she hasn’t signed up for homework and history lessons, but instead for a summer-long free-for-all the locals and other students call “Loveboat.” It quickly lives up to its name when Ever finds herself trying not to fall for two attractive but wildly different boys who are vying for her attention, while at the same time finding the courage to defy her parents’ high expectations and pursue her true passion: dancing.

Heart of Stone (Netflix) – August 11

When a powerful AI known as The Heart goes missing, Agent Stone and the other elite spies that make up The Charter will have to do whatever it takes to retrieve it. Heart of Stone premieres on August 11 on Netflix.

Film Description: Gal Gadot is Agent Rachel Stone, the only intelligence operative who stands between her global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset, codenamed: The Heart.

Red, White & Royal Blue (Prime Video) – August 11

After creating an international incident (see above), Alex and Henry are forced to do damage control and pretend to actually get along. At some point, however, they realize that they’re no longer pretending. Red, White & Royal Blue premieres on August 11 on Prime Video.

Film Description: Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the President of the United States (Uma Thurman), and Britain’s Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) have a lot in common: Stunning good looks, undeniable charisma, international popularity… and a total disdain for each other. Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn’t really been an issue, until a disastrous — and very public — altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time. Going into damage-control mode, their families and handlers force the two rivals into a staged “truce.” But as Alex and Henry’s icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected.

Craig learns that success is short-lived, but he’s determined to keep his enterprise afloat, no matter how many people come after him. Killing It Season 2 premieres with all eight episodes on August 17 on Peacock.

Season Description: Killing It is a comedy about class, capitalism, and one man’s quest to achieve the American Dream. But first he has to overcome vicious criminals, nature run wild, and worst of all, corporate America.

Puppy Love (Amazon Freevee) – August 18

After a rough first date, Nicole and Max have to work past their issues when they learn that their dogs are a match and now are expecting puppies. Puppy Love premieres on Amazon Freevee on August 18.

Film Description: After a disastrous first date, wild child Nicole (Lucy Hale) and socially anxious Max (Grant Gustin) vow to lose each other’s numbers, until they learn that their dogs found a love match, and now puppies are on the way! The hilariously mismatched Nicole and Max are forced to become responsible co-parents, but may end up finding love themselves.

Ahsoka (Disney+) – August 23

The newest Star Wars series focuses on Ahsoka as she begins investigating a new threat to the galaxy. Ahsoka premieres with two episodes on August 23 on Disney+ with new episodes releasing weekly.

Series Description: Set after the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

One Piece (Netflix) – August 31

Luffy leaves his village behind to search for a legendary treasure in the hopes of becoming the King of the Pirates. One Piece premieres on August 31 on Netflix.

Series Description: Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece a legendary high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece, to become King of the Pirates! But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.
