It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 16 Episode 2 Review: Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang
The gang is definitely coming in hot this season. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 16, Episode 2, “Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang” continues the really strong start to the new season.
It even includes the return of Charlie’s long-lost sisters.
As Mac points out, most of us didn’t even remember he had sisters. Now, we will never forget this terrible twosome. If you can make Charlie’s mom even disgusted by your sexual exploits, then maybe it’s time to question your life choices.

It isn’t the fact that they’re on Only Fans that’s gross, it’s the teeth.
Also, sisters doing Only Fans together may be borderline incestuous, but we’re not here to discuss that part. Charlie, Rob, and Glenn finally addressing the missing sisters show that rewatching the episodes for their podcast has definitely been a really good decision.
“Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang” addresses other long-running things, like Frank’s dangerous obsession with guns. I’m not someone who is desensitized to guns in movies and TV shows, so it’s very uncomfortable, for me personally, to see Frank waving the gun around.
However, that’s the point of the episode, especially when you know the title of the episode.
It creates this uncomfortable atmosphere because, at any moment, Frank is going to shoot all the members of the gang. You also have no clue how until it happens.

Even on high alert, it’s still very surprising, but it’s done in a way where the damage is minimal to everyone, but still…not fun to get shot.
It pushes the boundaries just enough to not take the show out of the realm of comedy. However, it definitely gets its message across about the dangers of guns, especially in the hands of a madman.
“Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang” isn’t as strong of an episode as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 16 Episode 1, “The Gang Inflates,” but it’s still a very funny and clever episode.
It’s also giving the fans what they want by doing things like bringing back fan favorites such as the mothers, and it even adds new possible interesting recurring characters, like Donald and Charlie’s sisters.
A really funny part of “Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang” is watching Charlie’s anger just increase. He starts the episode chill and offers his philosophy on money not being everything but ends it near his breaking point after having to deal with his mother and sisters.

Charlie’s family may be his biggest stress point.
Another really funny bit is Donald being the father Mac never had and him rejecting him. It just shows that these characters could have happiness, but they will always reject it.
It’s beyond their level of self-awareness to accept love and happiness.
Frank being basically a dog all episode also makes sense given everything we know about him. It’s also not too insane of him to think Dee and Dennis plan to assassinate him.
Dennis and Dee have shown themselves, quite often, to be very sinister. The murder of their father to get his money wouldn’t be that far of a leap.

However, it’s hilarious when he respects that move but not them trying to take his gun.
“Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang” adds to the one-two-punch premiere episodes. In isolation, both of the first two episodes of Season 16 are strong, but together they highlight that we’re in for a very fun adventure with this season.
It also shows that It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is still capable of creating very funny, insightful, surprising, and innovative episodes.
