Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of April 16th! Our picks this week include exciting new shows, long-awaited returns, and episodes you don’t want to miss.

This week we feature Barry, American Auto, Star Trek: Picard, and many more!

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

Barry – Sunday, April 16th

At the end of Season 3, Barry was taken into police custody. Season 4 opens up with Barry still in custody, but people around him are changing and following some of his habits he’d rather they not like murder. Barry Season 4 premieres Sunday, April 16th at 10/9c on HBO.

The Company You Keep – Sunday, April 16th

Emma and Birdie partner up against Leo when he gathers some friends to seek revenge on a man who conned them years ago. Meanwhile, Charlie attempts to do some good by helping Daphne get Patrick out of jail. The Company You Keep airs Sunday, April 16th at 10/9c on ABC.

Episode Description: Daphne tries to use Charlie to help Patrick get out of jail; Emma partners with Birdie when Leo gathers his old friends around to con a man who lost their pensions years ago.

Waco: The Aftermath – Sunday, April 16th

This mini-series is a follow-up to 2018’s limited series, Waco. It explores how the events of the deadly siege at Waco directly led to bigger events down the line such as the Oklahoma City Bombings. Waco: The Aftermath premieres Sunday, April 16th on Paramount+.

Episode Description: In the wake of the deadly siege at Waco, Gary Noesner contends with finger pointing and his own guilt; the surviving Branch Davidians arrive in court; a young Vernon Howell arrives at Mount Carmel, before he would become David Koresh.

The Good Doctor – Monday, April 17th

Dr. Andrews and Dr. Wolke clash a bit over a patient whose own optimism and faith create tension for Dr. Wolke. Meanwhile, Dr. Murphy and Dr. Glassman argue over Glassman’s neural functions. The Good Doctor airs Monday, April 17th at 10/9c on ABC.

Episode Description: Dr. Marcus Andrews introduces some of the team to a patient whose optimism and faith seems to cause Dr. Asher Wolke the most skepticism in light of his own relationship with religion.

American Auto – Tuesday, April 18th

With hit after hit this season, it doesn’t seem that Payne will ever recover the way it needs to. On the season 2 finale, the team works tirelessly to ensure that the Pika launch goes off without a hitch and global events don’t tank them for good. American Auto airs Tuesday, April 18th at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

Episode Description: Katherine and her team make one last effort to raise the Payne stock and save their jobs by rallying behind the launch of the Pika; when global events cause the whole market to crash, Katherine loses hope that Payne will ever recover.

Abbott Elementary – Wednesday, April 19th

The chemistry between Gregory and Janine has been slowly heating up, but Janine is still hesitant. When the school takes a trip to the Franklin Institute, Gregory is keen to use this as an opportunity to spend time with her. Abbott Elementary airs Wednesday, April 19th at 9/8c on ABC.

Episode Description: Abbott Elementary takes a field trip to the Franklin Institute; Gregory is eager to spend time with a reluctant Janine; Ava teaches the students about aliens, which leads to chaos.

Snowfall – Wednesday, April 19th

After 6 seasons, this FX classic is taking one final bow. Come along with Franklin and the gang for one last rendezvous. Snowfall airs Wednesday, April 19th at 10/9c on FX.

The Ark – Wednesday, April 19th

The Mandalorian – Wednesday, April 19th

Mrs. Davis – Thursday, April 20th

Come along with Simone, a dedicated nun, as she contends with an A.I. known as Mrs. Davis that is hellbent on destroying the world. This series will take faith and technology to new heights. Mrs. Davis premieres Thursday, April 20th on Peacock.

Star Trek: Picard – Thursday, April 20th

The past, present, and future all come together in one last stand as their biggest threat takes hold. Dead Ringers – Friday, April 21st

This psychological thriller takes female reproductive care to scary new levels when a pair of gynecologists decide to perform questionable procedures on infertile women. Dead Ringers airs Friday, April 21st on Prime Video.

Extrapolations – Friday, April 21st

With the previous episode ending with a news announcement that the international court would be handing out charges of ecocide, the series’ thrilling conclusion is bound to reveal who will be seeing charges brought against them. Extrapolations airs Friday, April 21st on Apple TV+.
