‘The Company You Keep’ Exclusive Sneak Peek Clip: Are Charlie and Daphne Getting too Close?

Daphne seems to be getting a little too familiar with Charlie on The Company You Keep Season 1 Episode 8, “The Art of the Steel.”

In the exclusive sneak peek clip below, Charlie visits Daphne’s new place, noting that their deal was for him to help her take down her brother, not to pay her mortgage. “Come on,” Daphne replies. “You have to admit we make a great team.”

Meanwhile, Emma and Birdie are listening in on their conversation, and Birdie isn’t thrilled with the way things are going. “It sounds like she’s feeling a little more for him than trust these days,” Birdie tells Emma.

She’s feeling protective of her brother when it comes to Daphne, and she admits she’s feeling that way about Emma as well.

Birdie is right: the whole thing does seem like it’s getting uncomfortable, even as Emma insists she’s just doing her job and she’s not bothered by what she’s seeing. She also notes that she’s trying to protect Charlie too. 

This episode of The Company You Keep airs Sunday, April 16th at 10/9c on ABC.

Episode description: Daphne tries to use Charlie to help Patrick get out of jail. Elsewhere, Emma partners with Birdie when Leo gathers his old friends around to con a man who lost their pensions years ago.
