Schmigadoon! Becomes Schmicago in Season 2 Trailer for Apple TV+
Josh and Melissa find Schmicago when searching for Schmigadoon! in the Season 2 trailer for the Apple TV+ series.
The sophomore season of the musical comedy series will premiere with two episodes on Wednesday, April 5.
Schmigadoon!‘s six-episode season will then unfold with new episodes every Wednesday through May 3.

This announcement moves Schmigadoon! Season 2’s premiere date up two days earlier than its previous date of Friday, April 7, as Apple TV+ announced in January.
The upcoming season will feature new original musical numbers from co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner Cinco Paul. Plus, Schmigadoon! Season 2 will include even more guest stars.
The season features returning stars Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, and Aaron Tveit.
Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page are joining Schmigadoon!‘s cast for Season 2.

Josh and Melissa meet Burgess’ character when trying to seek out Schmigadoon for some happiness.
Per Apple TV+’s synopsis of the season, “Having found true love in the town of Schmigadoon,” Schmigadoon! Season 2 “will find Josh and Melissa in Schmicago, the reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musicals.”
The changes to the utopia make it more challenging for Josh and Melissa to find a happy ending when the musicals they encounter don’t always end happily and often involve darker themes, including murder.
Josh even finds himself accused of murder with Jane Krakowski’s character coming to his aid as his legal representation.

The Emmy and AFi Award-winning series debuted on Apple TV+ with Schmigadoon! Season 1 Episode 1, “Schmigadoon!” and Episode 2, “Lover’s Spat,” in July of 2021.
The first season concluded with Schmigadoon! Season 1 Episode 6, “How We Change,” in August of that same year.
The Apple TV+ series is co-created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, and produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Broadway Video. Paul serves as showrunner and wrote all of the original songs for the series.
Lorne Michaels serves as an executive producer, and Andrew Singer executive produces on behalf of Broadway Video with Micah Frank as co-executive producer.
