Fans will have to wait a bit longer for The Resident‘s Season 6 finale and 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s Season 4 premiere on FOX.

TV Line reports that FOX is adjusting its midseason schedule, pushing back the respective season finale and season premiere.

The Resident‘s Season 6 finale is originally meant to be a two-hour event airing next week, beginning at the show’s usual day and time of 8/7c.

Instead, the episodes will be split over two weeks, with the penultimate episode airing Tuesday, January 10, at 8/7c and the season finale airing Tuesday, January 17, at 8/7c.

The Resident Season 6 Episode 11, “All In,” marks the medical drama’s return from hiatus as it sets up the season’s final act.

Since the FOX show has yet to be renewed for Season 7, this prolonged season finale could become a series finale.

As for 9-1-1: Lone Star, the 9-1-1 spinoff series’ Season 4 was meant to premiere on Tuesday, January 17.

According to Deadline, the show will premiere its new season on Tuesday, January 24 at 8/7c — just a week later than the initial date.

9-1-1: Lone Star‘s season premiere will lead in to the second episode of FOX’s Accused at 9/8c. The latter was originally announced as part of the network’s 2022/2023 programming.

Accused, FOX’s new anthology series will have a special series premiere on Sunday, January 22, after the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

The network describes Accused‘s episodes as “a fast-paced provocative thriller, exploring a different crime, in a different city, with an entirely original cast.”

As previously reported, Accused‘s cast will include Margo Martindale, Molly Parker, Rachel Bilson, and Jack Davenport, among other performers. 

Deadline reports “The changes are due to issues around the State of the Union and what’s going on in Congress to allow 9-1-1: Lone Star to air uninterrupted.”

So, make sure DVRs and viewing plans are adjusted accordingly so as not to miss The Resident‘s season finale and 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s season premiere.

The Resident airs on Tuesday, January 10, at 8/7c on FOX. 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, January 24 at 8/7c on FOX.
