Yellowjackets Season 2 Adds Nicole Maines, François Arnaud, and Nia Sondaya in Recurring Roles

Nicole Maines, François Arnaud, and Nia Sondaya will join Yellowjackets Season 2 in recurring roles.

Variety exclusively reported the news about the Showtime series, confirming the trio joins alongside Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell as series regulars and Elijah Wood in a season-long guest arc.

As previously reported, the high-anticipated second season premieres early on streaming and on-demand for Showtime subscribers on Friday, March 24.

Then, Yellowjackets Season 2 will make its on-air debut on Sunday, March 26, at 9:00 pm on Showtime.

Maines and Arnaud join in new roles for the mystery series, while Sondaya comes to the series through a recast.

Maines will play Lisa, an associate of Adult Lottie (played by Simone Kissell), who is trying to recover from past trauma.

Sondaya will portray Teen Akilah, with Keeya King exiting the series. King has portrayed the role since the Showtime series premiered in 2021.

Arnaud will guest star in four episodes of Yellowjackets as Paul, who is described as “a New York writer and secret boyfriend of Coach Scott who reminds Coach Scott of what might have been.”

This additional casting news comes after the first look released last month of Lauren Ambrose as a grown-up Vanessa “Van” Palmer, as seen in this TV Line report. Ambrose’s casting was announced in August of last year.

Liv Hewson portrays the character in the flashback storyline.

Yellowjackets follows a high school girls’ soccer team involved in a plane crash in the wilderness, and the show picks back up with the characters 25 years later.

The award-winning series stars Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, and Kevin Alves.

Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson created the show. Lyle, Nickerson, and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco serve as executive producers. 

Yellowjackets is produced for Showtime by studio Entertainment One (eOne). Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer.
