Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment, The CW Network, released a statement about the network’s new Tuesday line-up.

“The new season of The CW’s biggest show Superman & Lois alongside our most exciting new series Gotham Knights will make Tuesdays a can’t-miss night of action,” Schwartz said.

“With the iconic characters and gritty streets that everyone knows, fans will experience the best season yet of Superman & Lois and be introduced to a hunted group of crime fighters out for vengeance, following in Batman’s footsteps on Gotham Knights,” Schwartz continued.

The new season of Superman & Lois will see a new look for one member of the Kent family. As previously reported, the series recast Jonathan Kent with Michael Bishop after Jordan Elsass exited the series.

Season 3 picks up weeks after Superman’s defeat of Ally Allston on Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 15, “Waiting for Superman.”

Per the season’s synopsis, Clark is now working at the Smallville Gazette with Lois, and the couple is enjoying small-town life. However, the couple’s “romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois.”

But a deadly, “merciless” foe that “promises to change the Kent family,” revealed by her undercover assignment, puts Lois’ work-life balance and Superman’s willingness to “move heaven and earth for his family” to the test.

While the synopsis doesn’t reveal the villain, TV Line‘s earlier report about Chad L. Coleman joining Superman & Lois as Bruno Mannheim is a large hint at what’s to come. Considering the information John Diggle tells John Henry in the Season 2 finale, the Intergang leader will make his presence known.

Meanwhile, the Kent boys grow in opposite directions “as Jordan discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan searches for [a] purpose beyond the football field.” Plus, John Henry is haunted by his doppelgänger’s history, resulting in dangerous consequences for him and his daughter Natalie.

Also, Lana and Kyle redefine their family in their new chapter, post-separation, and “Sarah explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers.”

Finally, General Samuel Lane reclaims his post at the Department of Defense after learning last season that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman. Sam then faces another conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.

With the addition of Bishop, Superman & Lois Season 3 stars returning cast members Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Sofia Hasmik, Alex Garfin, Tayler Buck, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, and Dylan Walsh.

The CW’s Gotham Knights kicks off with Batman’s death igniting a powder keg in Gotham City.

Bruce Wayne’s adopted son Turner Hayes is framed in the wake of the Dark Knight’s murder, along with some of Batman’s other enemies’ children, including Duela, Harper Row, and Harper’s brother Cullen.

Duela is “an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father.” Harper is the “streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything,” while Cullen is “a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable.”

Supernatural‘s Misha Collins joins Gotham Knights as “the charismatic and hard-charging” District Attorney Harvey Dent, who stays on the kids’ trail with the GCPD. Subsequently, “Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown, and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley.”

Per the show’s synopsis, together they learn “there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.”

Gotham Knights stars Collins, Oscar Morgan, Olivia Rose Keegan, Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Anna Lore, and Navia Robinson.

The new series, based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, comes from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Gotham Knights is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams.
