Shondaland Audio Announces ‘Scandal’ Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Katie Lowes and Guillermo Díaz

Shondaland Audio announced a Scandal rewatch podcast hosted by two of the show’s stars, Katie Lowes, who played Quinn Perkins, and Guillermo Díaz, who played Huck.
Deadline confirms that the podcast, aptly titled “Unpacking the Toolbox will feature conversations about the political thriller as they rewatch the series from start to finish.”
“Former B613 duo – Huckleberry Quinn – will share behind the scenes stories, fun facts, on set memories, and a healthy dose of laughs – sometimes inviting their co-stars, writers, crew members, and maybe even superfans to reminisce and relive the making of Scandal together, Unpacking the Toolbox‘s description adds.
Shondaland Audio’s news about the Scandal rewatch podcast joins the announcement of another podcast, The Flaky Biscuit, hosted by master chef Bryan Ford.
Variety reports that both podcasts are set to premiere in early 2023.
The outlet adds that Unpacking the Toolbox will “revisit old social media posts about Scandal, as the series regularly trended online.”
Scandal is notably one of the first shows to use Twitter for promotion, including live-tweeting sessions during episodes, which Variety reiterates.
The political thriller series aired on ABC from 2012 to 2018, so Unpacking the Toolbox has plenty of social media posts to look to for discussion.
The upcoming rewatch podcast joins many others, like the Shadowhunters rewatch podcast Return to the Shadows, hosted by Kat McNamara and Dominic Sherwood.
Some others include the One Tree Hill rewatch podcast Drama Queens, hosted by Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton Morgan, and Joy Lenz. Recently, Boy Meets World stars Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong commenced Pod Meets World.
Glee stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale host And That’s What You REALLY Missed, and Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone, and Lamorne Morris take fans behind the scenes of New Girl with the podcast Welcome to Our Show.
Now, Katie Lowes and Guillermo Díaz will add their voices to the growing podcast subgenre by diving back into Scandal on Unpacking the Toolbox.
