Katherine McNamara and Dominic Sherwood Reunite for ‘Shadowhunters’ Rewatch Podcast
Are you ready to return to the Shadow World?!
Shadowhunters stars Katherine McNamara and Dominic Sherwood — who played Clary and Jace — will usher us back into the magical, supernatural world with a rewatch podcast titled Return to the Shadows.
Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that the podcast would pull back the curtain on the beloved Freeform series that ended in 2019.
“Together the hosts will take viewers through each episode, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and interviewing cast and crew about the experience of making the show,” EW shared.
Rewatch podcasts are all the rage in the podcast space as creatives invite fans to hear their perspectives on creating their favorite series.
For example, the One Tree Hill ladies — Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton Morgan, and Bethany Joy Lenz, host Drama Queens where they rewatch the iconic teen drama and share anecdotes and commentary.
Additionally, Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone, and Lamorne Morris recently started a New Girl rewatch podcast called Welcome to Our Show to revisit their time on the popular sitcom.
Katherine McNamara spoke to EW about her decision to agree to this reflective adventure: “Creating and shooting Shadowhunters was such a special, unique, life-shaping experience that truly changed us — personally, professionally, and artistically.”
“When approached about the podcast, I thought it seemed like the perfect next step to give back and support this beautiful Shadowfam community. So, I reached out to Dom to see if he would join me as we both have always sought out ways to do so,” McNamara added.
Clace is one of the Shadowfam’s most treasured couples — alongside Malec, Sizzy, and others. So, it’s perfect for McNamara and Dominic Sherwood to co-host this podcast together.
McNamara spoke about the fandom’s role in the podcast’s production, stating, “The Shadowfam is and always will be near and dear to our hearts, their love and support is as strong as ever, and for that, I am forever humbled and grateful.”
She went on to share a bit about what the Shadowfam can expect: “With Return To The Shadows, we are able to share stories, secrets, and memories as well as behind-the-scenes tidbits alongside interviews with the cast, crew, and creatives,” describing the podcast “as a love letter to the ShadowFam.”
McNamara summed up her remarks by stating how she is “excited to invite members of the Shadowfam, old and new, to join us as we Return to the Shadows.”
EW exclusively shared the podcast’s trailer, but McNamara reposted it on Twitter to express her excitement for the project. You do not want to miss it, Shadowfam.
It’s jam-packed with puns only Shadowhunters will appreciate, and it will make you just as excited as McNamara and Dominic Sherwood to rewatch this series.
Dominic Sherwood spoke about Shadowhunters‘ longevity — despite its ending far too soon — and cites the fans for its persistent popularity.

“A show is nothing without people who love and support it. I think it was clear that no one, including us, was ready to let this show go,” Sherwood said.
“With this opportunity, we get to love and cherish the show beginning to end, whilst also enveloping the fans that gave us so much into our world. I just hope people enjoy it!” he continued.
Luckily, we don’t have to wait that long to listen to the first episode and fall back into the Shadow World!
