Dynasty Season 5 Episode 21 Review: More Power to Her
On Dynasty Season 5 Episode 21, “More Power to Her,” Fallon is in overdrive trying to save Morell Co and prepare for Stacey’s birth.
Dynasty‘s penultimate episode for the series is everything I’ve been asking for all season. It efficiently utilizes all the characters at their disposal and gives the audience an exciting experience that entices the entire hour.
Between Adam’s downfall, Blake’s plane going missing, Fallon’s feud with Ellen, and Amanda’s ex showing up, there’s so much to digest and analyze.

One Last Team-Up
The suspense and drama that exudes from PPA’s missing plane situation alone are enough for a two-part episode. After dealing with the exhausting and monotonous PPA construction, these juicy scenarios should have been happening since its opening.
Not only does it provide suspense, but it forces two characters that don’t see eye-to-eye to work together. Blake and Jeff may never agree on morals or viewpoints, but when the two must interact, it brings out another thrilling side to the characters.
Sam Adegoke and Grant Show have magnetic chemistry with one another. Their back-and-forth bickering and wars gave ample entertainment, most of the time.

Ryan’s Reemergence
As much as I dislike the series reintroducing Ryan and dismissing him just as quickly, it feels like the best decision. Sam has been single for most of the series and has never focused on making himself happy.
It feels more fitting for him to end the series single rather than thrown into another spontaneous relationship.
Before jumping into something, he needs to figure out his life goals. It’s clear that expanding the La Mirage has been on his mind heavily, and as a businessman, he’s been rocking the game.
However, it’s nice for Sam to have a small moment of adult fun with an adored ex. And seeing how it’ll be the series finale, I won’t be upset if Ryan pops back into the picture. He and Sam make an adorable couple, and they’ve both grown as individuals since their last interactions.

Adam’s Downfall
Using Stacey as Adam’s downfall is a predictable scenario, but that’s okay. All that matters is her revealing Adam’s actions cement his permanent banishment, aka no more Adam! It would be wise for Cristal and Stacey to make up a lie and not inform the rest of the family.
With the two of them being the only ones with the truth about Adam, his disappearance might never be investigated, depending on their hypothetical lie.
I respect the series for finally letting karma come for Adam and not allowing him to end the series in a happy relationship. After dealing with his heinous actions and manipulations throughout the seasons, he’s finally getting what he deserves! It should probably instill fear to think about Graham killing Adam, but it doesn’t phase me.
After what Adam did to Steven, I hope Graham has something worse than death planned for him.

Where the series fails typically is being able to keep storylines interesting enough and dedicating enough time to tell them. But that’s not a significant issue in the penultimate episode, and it’s relieving. It provides hope that the finale will be everything we’ve been wanting.
I’m typically not a fan of fan service, but in this case, I’m all for it. Please give us a time jump that shows Fallon and Liam playing with their daughter. But also Sam as a successful businessman, Culhane and Nina with children, and Amanda and Kirby living their best lives.
Jeff also needs to have his own global organization that works to help the world and those in need.
Stray Thoughts:
- Liam’s storyline is too rushed to enjoy any of it. The professor’s son blackmailing Liam is so minute it’s not even worth including in the final moments. The sparing moments we see between them could’ve been better utilized.
- Dominique’s reduced, or nonexistent, screen time over the past few episodes has been disappointing. I’m glad we get to see her for a moment, and it’s enough to provide worthy content for the character.
- Alexis has been working hard to change who she is as a person, so it goes to say that I hope Dex makes it. His death in the series finale and leaving Alexis heartbroken would not be the best goodbye to the characters.
