The Serpent Queen – Sunday, September 11
Through flashbacks, we learn about Catherine de Medici’s life, learning how a young orphaned girl became one of the most powerful rulers in French history. The Serpent Queen premieres Sunday, September 11 at 8/7c on Starz.
Series Description: Catherine’s tale unfolds through flashbacks as she defends her actions and imparts the lessons she’s learned to her new servant girl, Rahima (Sennia Nanua). At 14, the young, orphaned Catherine (Liv Hill) marries into the 16th-century French court. Despite her commoner status, her uncle Pope Clement (Charles Dance), has negotiated a large dowry and a geopolitical alliance in return for the union, and with it comes the expectation of many heirs. However, on her wedding night, Catherine learns that her new husband is in love with Diane de Poitiers (Ludivine Sagnier), a beautiful lady-in-waiting twice his age. With her future suddenly uncertain and with little hope of conceiving, Catherine must quickly learn who she can trust – both within her personal entourage of courtiers and the members of the royal court – while outmaneuvering anyone who underestimates her determination to survive at any cost.
American Gigolo – Sunday, September 11

Jon Bernthal’s Julian Kaye is released from prison 15 years after he is put away for a crime he didn’t commit. He must find out who framed him, come to terms with the life he has now, and how much has changed since he’s been away. American Gigolo debuts Sunday, September 11 at 9/8c on Showtime.
Series Description: Exonerated after fifteen years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit, former gigolo Julian Kaye faces the challenge of picking up the pieces as the detective who put him behind bars tries to unravel the mystery that led to his incarceration. 74th Annual Emmy Awards – Monday, September 12

It’s that time of year again! Time to honor some of the best the Television Academy offers for the past year, so get ready for some potential upsets and get your picks in. Hosted by Kenan Thompson, the 74th Annual Emmy Awards is set to kick off Monday, September 12 at 8/7c on NBC while also live streaming on Peacock.
The Come Up – Tuesday, September 13

Six young adults find their way in New York City as they come into their own, finding their identity, pursuing success, looking for love, and more. Four episodes of The Come Up debut Tuesday, September 13 at 10/9c on Freeform.

The series follows six young disruptors as they emerge from downtown New York to follow their dreams and pursue love and art on their own terms. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Wednesday, September 14
After all of the music, dancing, and drama, it’s time for the campers to put on a show. But will the kids of Camp Shallow Lake pull it off? The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season finale drops Wednesday, September 14 on Disney+.
Atlanta -Thursday, September 15

After a whirlwind European tour, Earn, Al, Darius, and Van are back home in the states and dealing with whatever oddities their hometown has coming their way. The fourth season of Atlanta kicks off Thursday, September 15 at 10/9c on FC.

Vampire Academy – Thursday, September 15

It’s been a while since we’ve had a vampire series, so it seems like the perfect time to bring vampires back with another adaptation of a popular young adult series. The show follows two teen girls enshrined in a world filled with carefully held alliances, centuries-long secrets, and more. Vampire Academy debuts Thursday, September 15, on Peacock.
Series Description: In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter royal vampire society.
Do Revenge – Friday, September 16

A modern (and potentially less murderous) take on Strangers on a Train. This new movie follows a pair of girls whose lives get turned around for different reasons. But when they meet, they devise a way to deal with each other’s problems. Will it turn out the way they planned? Do Revenge debuts Friday, September 16, on Netflix.
Movie Description: Drea (Camila Mendes) is at the peak of her high school powers as the Alpha it-girl on campus when her entire life goes up in flames after her sex tape gets leaked to the whole school, seemingly by her boyfriend and king of the school, Max (Austin Abrams). Eleanor (Maya Hawke) is an awkward new transfer student who is angered to find out that she now has to go to school with her old bully, Carissa (Ava Capri) who started a nasty rumor about her in summer camp when they were 13. Los Espookys – Friday, September 16

It’s been a hot minute since we saw our four favorite horror fans, and life has changed a bit. But despite their changes in status for Tati and Andres and strange things haunting Renaldo and Ursula, the crew is always ready for a good scare. Los Espookys returns Friday, September 16 at 11/10c on HBO.
Episode Description: Much has changed for Los Espookys: Renaldo (Bernardo Velasco) is haunted by the ghost of a pageant queen, Andrés (Julio Torres) has relinquished the title of chocolate empire scion, Tati (Ana Fabrega) is married, and Úrsula (Cassandra Ciangherotti) is plagued by mysterious phone calls. Mija – Friday, September 16

This directorial debut follows a pair of siblings trying to find their way through the music industry while coming to grips with the financial risks and hopes of getting their family back together. Mija debuts Friday, September 16, on Disney+.
Documentary Description: Disney Original Documentary’s Mija features Doris Muñoz and Jacks Haupt, two daughters of immigrants from Mexico who are both navigating their careers in the music industry. Seeking to provide for their families while achieving their dreams, Doris and Jacks bond over the ever-present guilt of being the first American-born members of their families and the financial risks of pursuing their dreams.
