Preview — Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 14: Worlds War Bizarre
While Clark recovers, the Inverse World brings the fight to Earth-Prime on Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 14, “Worlds War Bizarre.”
The penultimate episode dares to ask, “What happens if Superman must take a sick day?” Because of Superman & Lois‘ rocky grasp of Earth-Prime, the only other heroes that can step in and help are the ones closest to home.
That explanation provides context for John Henry and Natalie suited up side by side with a very mundane Clark Kent. Throughout the season (and the entire series), Clark grapples with accepting help and learning his limits, and “Worlds War Bizarre” will put that test into action.
The pressure to step up despite his ailments won’t be helped by the appearance of Inverse Lana at the Kent farm. The photos tease more of her action than the promo video does.
Nevertheless, it will be challenging for Clark to simply stand by and watch.
That resistance will likely allow Superman & Lois to thread in one of its most evergreen themes — holding the wrench is just as helpful as a superpower. Lois essentially tells Clark as much in her spliced lines in the promo video, including “You are more than just your powers” and “It’s because of your heart.”
Maybe that reminder will encourage a much-needed breakthrough for Clark and Jonathan in time for the season finale.
