The Rookie Season 8 Episode 3 Preview: The Red Place

Previews, The Rookie

John Nolan’s quiet arrest leads to something much more sinister on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 3, “The Red Place.”

The promo video reveals that he arrested a man for trespassing at a rec center, but Nyla discovers there’s much more to this man’s history than Nolan realizes.

It seems like the man, played by David Krumholtz, is a suspect in a triple homicide, where “their 15-year-old daughter was dragged into the woods. All they had was a fingerprint.” The latter part is true, like John says, “Until now.”

Nyla wants John to interview the man to “keep him in the dark.”

She describes him as “worse” than a murderer. The Rookie‘s promo video backs that up with demonic drawings, found by Tim, and another twist uncovered in the interview: “I have found a new soulmate.” Nolan spells it out by adding, “He’s got another girl.” How chilling!

The description for “The Red Place” reveals that Lucy and Celina will race to rescue a kidnapping victim, so perhaps this is the person they’re trying to find. Needless to say, this episode sounds intense. Krumholtz teased his role on The Rookie, sharing the promo video on Instagram, writing, “Next Tuesday night, yo!”

Maybe there’s something more lighthearted to look forward to in Miles visiting a familiar face.
