The Rookie Season 8 Episode 7 Preview: Baja
Lucy and Nyla go undercover for the first time in a long time on The Rookie Season 8 Episode 7, “Baja.”
This undercover op comes after Lucy, Celina, John, and Miles discover two female victims with multiple stab wounds. At some point, Lucy introduces them to Nyla as Jordan Sharp and Courtney Sutton.
Lucy says that the two young women don’t have criminal records, and Nyla can tell that their wounds are the cartel’s way of “trying to send a message.”
Lucy hasn’t gone undercover since she did so as a nanny on The Rookie Season 6 Episode 9, “The Squeeze.” In the promo video for “Baja,” she tells Nyla, “They did not deserve to die like this. I want in on this.”
The Rookie‘s promo video shows Nyla bringing the idea to Tim before Lucy hugs Nyla, saying, “It’ll be worth it.” There’s only one photo that teases their looks for the undercover op. There are also a few photos of Nyla hugging her and James’s daughter, Leah.
This team-up has been a long time coming for The Rookie, since Nyla was the one who prepared Lucy for undercover work in Season 3.
Meanwhile, back in LA, the FBI task force has another investigation that they need Tim’s help with. It seems to lead John and Miles to a car wash. Plus, John and Bailey are balancing their long-distance relationship with Bailey in DC.
