10 Best Couples From the Bridgerton Universe — Ranked!

Bridgerton, Lists

These days, Bridgerton is TV’s quintessential romance.

Despite its Regency Era setting, the Netflix series has set the modern-day standard for swoon-worthy moments, steamy chemistry, and heart-stopping romantic quotes.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and with Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 set to premiere on February 26, it is an excellent time to review the show’s standout romantic relationships.

Here are the most beloved couples from the Bridgerton universe, ranked:

10. Harry Dankworth and Prudence Featherington

Even though Harry and Prudence only appear in Season 3, their brief screen time still captures our hearts.

Despite Prudence’s initial indifference toward her husband, she genuinely grows to love him and enjoy all their marriage has to offer.

As for Harry, his constant showering of affection is swoon-worthy material. He presents himself as the ultimate wife guy, making Harry and Prudence a notable addition to the couples of Bridgerton.

9. Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset
BRIDGERTON Season 1 Episode 1

Daphne and Simon are the pairing that started it all. Bridgerton would not be the successful show it is today without them. They all but secured multiple seasons for the series.

Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page set the standard for the show’s romances with their lingering touches, longing glances, and poignant angst.

However, Daphne’s sexual assault of Simon on Bridgerton Season 1 Episode 6, “Swish,” is problematic. Even though Violet and Simon kept Daphne in the dark about intimacy, it does not change the fact that Daphne is wrong for assaulting Simon. Daphne never apologizes or realizes the error of her ways.

As a result, this devastating scene casts a bleak cloud over their romance that does not lift enough to put them higher in our personal rankings.

8. Marcus Anderson and Violet Bridgerton

Marcus and Violet started strong during Season 3, with the capability to be a great second chance at true love. The brief air of forbidden romance because of Lady Danbury’s initial objections also made them so much more alluring.

However, Bridgerton Season 4 dampens Marcus and Violet’s potential by removing any hint of an emotional connection. The show portrays their romance as purely physical, removing any depth or excitement regarding their romance.

Bridgerton will hopefully explore Marcus and Violet’s relationship beyond physical intimacy, since there is still much potential to discover with this most unique match.

7. Albion Finch and Philippa Featherington

Albion and Philippa have always been a background couple of The Ton, but it does not make their romance any less sweet.

From an adorably awkward courtship to thoughtful romantic gestures, Albion and Philippa have been a reliable comfort on Bridgerton, always ready to provide an example of a loving and light-hearted relationship.

While Philippa appears in Season 4, it is unknown whether Albion will return as well. Hopefully, he does — it would be an excellent treat to see these two lovebirds again.

6. Alice Mondrich and Will Mondrich

Bridgerton. (L to R) Emma Naomi as Alice Mondrich, Martins Imhangbe as Will Mondrich in episode 406. Cr. Liam Daniel/Netflix © 2025

Alice and Will are one of the most unique couples on Bridgerton. Having begun as a working-class family trying to make ends meet, they eventually climb the social ladder when their son inherits Alice’s great-aunt’s title and estate.

This characteristic puts Alice and Will in an exclusive position, as a strong couple forced to endure the realities of wealth and popularity together. From learning to navigate society’s customs to dealing with their club, watching Alice and Will endure what life throws at them with such compelling companionship only makes their marriage stronger.

Bridgerton has not told the story behind their relationship, but their presence as a couple is undoubtedly romantic and captivating.

5. Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington
Bridgerton. (L to R) Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton in episode 302

Colin and Penelope’s slow-burning romance is a highlight of Bridgerton.

They illustrate what makes the friends-to-lovers trope so appealing with their foundation of childhood friendship. Colin and Penelope also provide steamy moments and angsty chemistry that balance their unique dynamic perfectly.

The only aspect that hurts Colin and Penelope’s romance involves the show’s timeline. Colin and Penelope are among the most compelling couples in the books because their love story unfolds over several years.

However, Bridgerton does not provide the same timeline, rushing their romance while failing to develop Colin properly. As a result, Colin and Penelope are missing the parts of Romancing Mr. Bridgerton that make them so compelling.

4. King George III and Queen Charlotte

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. (L to R) India Amarteifio as Young Queen Charlotte, Corey Mylchreest as Young King George in episode 101 of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Cr. Liam Daniel/Netflix © 2023

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story tells the timeless tale of King George III and Queen Charlotte.

What starts as an unwanted arranged marriage quickly turns into a heart-wrenching romance built on partnership, loyalty, and devotion.

Charlotte and George are so committed that they prioritize each other above all else, including their children — as seen in the present day when Charlotte is determined for her children to produce legitimate heirs so that her line with George will continue.

King George III and Queen Charlotte see the darkest parts of each other and choose to be together, committing to their love every single day. They transcend our world beyond all measure.

3. Francesca Bridgerton and John Stirling
BRIDGERTON Season 4 Episode 4
Bridgerton. (L to R) Victor Alli as John Stirling, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton in episode 404 of Bridgerton. Cr. Liam Daniel/Netflix © 2025

Even though Francesca and John’s marriage is just beginning, their romance is already one of the best on Bridgerton.

Francesca and John’s unique courtship throughout Season 3 illustrates how deeply they connect, understanding each other as no one else can. Francesca says that John makes her feel seen and heard, and the show effectively conveys this statement through his attentive actions.

While they love each other deeply, the narrative foreshadows the possibility that Francesca might not be sexually attracted to men. However, this storyline only reinforces their profound love. It does not lessen their compatibility, illustrating how love comes in many different forms.

Regardless of the tribulations they will soon face, the couple’s love story and the special people it brings into Francesca’s life are unmatched.

2. Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek
Bridgerton Season 4 Episode 3
Bridgerton. (L to R) Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton in episode 403 of Bridgerton. Cr. Liam Daniel/Netflix © 2025

Benedict and Sophie’s love story is not over yet, but they are already one of the best couples on Bridgerton.

There are so many aspects to their enchanting romance to love; from their fairy tale love-at-first sight to Benedict falling in love with the same person twice to the sizzling stolen moment at Bridgerton House.

Benedict and Sophie prove how much substance a Cinderella retelling can have when done right. Their story can only get better from here as it sticks closely to its source material, An Offer From a Gentleman.

Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 will hopefully continue to portray Benedict and Sophie’s excellence, with many more steamy moments, romantic book quotes, and their expected happy ending, cementing this couple’s spot among Bridgerton‘s top three romances.

1. Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma
Bridgerton Season 2 Episode 4
Bridgerton. (L to R) Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton in episode 204 of Bridgerton. Cr. Liam Daniel/Netflix © 2022

Of course, Bridgerton has yet to outdo itself with Anthony and Kate’s legendary romance.

Anthony and Kate are the standard that future couples must live up to. Their electrifying chemistry, stolen glances, and solid partnership are just a few of the many reasons why they are the greatest.

Season 2 redefines romance with Anthony and Kate, a tale of two eldest siblings who sacrifice everything for their loved ones, as their irrevocable connection grows. Despite their initial hatred, no one understands Anthony and Kate as they do each other.

Anthony and Kate’s love confession at the end of the Featherington ball remains the best on the show so far. It is a cinematic masterpiece, from Anthony clutching his heart in affectionate agony to Kate sweetly promising Anthony will always vex her.

Anthony and Kate’s romance outshines everyone with their unyielding devotion, adoration, and loyalty to one another.

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix.
