STRANGER THINGS Season 4 (2022) Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 Trailer: Prepare for War

Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 Trailer: Prepare for War

News, Stranger Things

Netflix has released the official trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1, which premieres on the streamer on May 27. It’s safe to say that our favorites are in for yet another insane battle ahead of them. Whether they are in Hawkins, California, or Russia, they can’t seem to escape the looming threat that is the Upside Down.

The trailer opens with an extremely ominous voice stating, “You’ve broken everything. Your suffering is almost at an end,” which sets a very dark and creepy tone for the trailer.

To add to the sinister factor, the trailer shows Dr. Sam Owens telling Eleven that “a war is coming… your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of the storm.” Even though Eleven has lost her powers, she isn’t out of this fight, as Dr. Owens makes very clear.

Thankfully, the trailer also gives us brief moments of everyone at least appearing to be happy. We all know it won’t last, but it’s nice to see that it hasn’t been all doom and gloom for Eleven and company.

As for Hopper, he appears strangely optimistic about being able to make a difference in this war while Demogorgan fighting in a Russian prison. If there’s a will, there’s a way, and Hopper certainly isn’t one to back down from a fight.

You’ll find yourself watching this trailer repeatedly, trying to make sense of all the snippets we’re given, and potentially also enjoying Journey’s “Love Will Find You” playing throughout.

It’s been almost three years since Stranger Things Season 3, but it looks like Season 4 will be worth the wait.

As previously reported, the super-sized Season 4 will be split into two separate volumes: Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 premieres on Netflix on May 27, and Volume 2 drops a little over a month later on July 1. And there’s one final season ahead of us; Netflix renewed Stranger Things for a fifth and final season.
