Ghosts: Richie Moriarty Explains Why Pete’s Arrow is ‘Risky Business’ on Set [Interview]
Walking around with a fake arrow through your neck is risky business according to Richie Moriarty. Moriarty plays Pete on the hit CBS comedy Ghosts, a ghost who will forever be walking around with an arrow through his neck because of how he died.
We caught up with Moriarty on the red carpet ahead of the Ghosts panel at PaleyFest to talk about the times that arrow has been a challenge, his favorite episode of the season so far, and more.
(You can watch the full interview below.)

“There was a moment on set when Román [Zaragoza] who plays Sasappis leaned in to whisper something to me while we were rolling, and he forgot about the arrow, and the arrow caught his eyelid,” Moriarty said.
He also said Devan Chandler Long, who plays Thorfinn, often finds himself getting caught on it.
“So yeah we have to be really careful on set. I specifically need to be careful,” he said. “We might shorten the arrow by like an inch for Season 2 so it’s a little safer!”
Moriarty also shared the episode he’s most proud of from the series so far.
“I think I’m most proud of the ‘Pete’s Wife’ episode where we kind of delve into my character’s backstory and get to learn about my family life more and really round out my character,” Moriarty explained.
“I was excited to read that script when it came through. And it was just such a gift to be given this strong backstory at the beginning of the season,” he continued.
“Once Pete finds out his wife has moved on with a former best friend of [his], it gives him some license to move on with his life. I think for the first forty years he was dead he was really hanging on to the memory of his wife and his marriage. And once he realizes, that hey, she’s moved on, it gives him an opportunity to be like, you know what, I should too.”
