Preview — Outlander Returns to Fraser’s Ridge for Season 6
The wait seemed endless, but another Draughtlander has officially come to pass!
The beloved Outlander is back after nearly two years off-air, and the series is seeking retribution for all those sleepless nights fans spent without Jamie and Claire’s time-travelling adventures.
The historical series is ready to return to the New World for a shortened Season 6 run and dive right back into the struggles of our lead-Sassenach.
This latest season will see Claire face the lingering PTSD of the unspeakable horrors she met at the hands of the Browns. Our good doctor has always strived to brush off life’s tribulations, but a brave face won’t easily remedy these traumas.
Jamie will find himself fighting a war on two fronts as his alliance with the red coats puts him smack-dab on the losing side of a coming war, while the arrival of the Christies spells trouble for Fraser’s Ridge. Tom Christie is an old adversary of Jamie’s, but he’s no friend, and his family will make their intentions clear soon enough.
Thankfully, Claire and Jamie have the next generation of Scots to lean on for support as Brianna and Roger return to the settlement. Ian, Marsali, and Fergus round out the core cast of crafty characters ready to fight for their place in this new world.
It wouldn’t be Outlander if a war weren’t brewing on all fronts. Welcome back to colonial chaos!

Season Description: The sixth season of Outlander sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love, as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America. Establishing a home in the New World is by no means an easy task, particularly in the wild backcountry of North Carolina – and perhaps most significantly – during a period of dramatic political upheaval.
The Frasers strive to maintain peace and flourish within a society which – as Claire knows all too well – is unwittingly marching towards Revolution. Against this backdrop, which heralds the birth of the new American nation, Claire and Jamie have built a home together at Fraser’s Ridge. They must now defend this home — established on land granted to them by the Crown — not only from external forces, but also from the increasing strife and conflict in the community within their care.
