Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of October 31st! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots to significant episodes of TV we can look forward to while stuck inside.
This week’s picks include the return of Doctor Who, Head of the Class’ debut, and more.

Doctor Who – Sunday, October 31

The Doctor and their companions are back for a new season filled with mystery, travels, and a re-generation as Jodie Comer is set to end her tenure this season. With Comer’s final season set to kick off in creepy style on Halloween, how will her Doctor say farewell? Doctor Who returns Sunday, October 31 at 8/7c on BBC America.

The Harder They Fall – Wednesday, November 3

Hollywood’s taking on the wild west again and bringing with it a fantastically stacked cast! This new school Western tale follows outlaw Nat Love and his crew as they face off against the ruthless Rufus Buck. Who will win out? The Harder They Fall makes its streaming debut on Wednesday, November 3 on Netflix.
Movie Description: When outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary (Zazie Beetz), his right and left hand men — hot-tempered Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (R.J. Cyler)—and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield), and they are not a group that knows how to lose.
Head of the Class – Thursday, November 4

The ‘80s teen sitcom is returning with an updated look and a few familiar faces. The rebooted sitcom follows a new debate teacher who approaches these students with an unexpected philosophy on life and school. Head of the Class debuts Thursday, November 4 on HBO Max.
Series Description: HEAD OF THE CLASS revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a teacher, Alicia Gomez (Isabella Gomez — “One Day at a Time”), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.
Animaniacs – Friday, November 5
The Warner Brothers and the Warner Sister, Dot, are ready to continue wreaking havoc and raucous laughter with all-new adventures and side stories. Animaniacs returns Friday, November 5 on Hulu.
Big Mouth – Friday, November 5

The raunchy, hormonal, animated comedy is back and eager to pick up the stories of pubescent teenagers and their misadventures through adolescence. Big Mouth returns Friday, November 5 on Netflix.
Season Description: Big Mouth is a 10-episode, half-hour edgy adult animated comedy from real-life best friends Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy) about the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty. Comedian John Mulaney (John Mulaney: The Comeback Kid, Saturday Night Live) lends his voice to the character of Andrew, while Kroll (who serves as co-creator, executive producer) voices many including best friend Nick. Maya Rudolph (Maya & Marty, Bridesmaids), Jason Mantzoukas (The League, Lady Dynamite), Jordan Peele (Keanu, Key and Peele), Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Documentary Now!), Jenny Slate (Girls, Lady Dynamite) and Jessi Klein (Inside Amy Schumer) are among those who lend their voice to the series.
Dickinson – Friday, November 5

The final season approaches and amid the Civil War, Emily’s art is struggling and so is her family. It’s this that causes her to question what the impact of her art could leave on people. Dickinson returns Friday, November 5 on Apple TV+.
Season Description: In the third and final season, Emily Dickinson’s most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past.
Love Hard – Friday, November 5

When a young woman finds a love match on a dating app, she decides to surprise him for the holidays. What she quickly finds, though, is that she was catfished and now is spending the holidays with an imposter. Love Hard debuts Friday, November 5 on Netflix.
Movie Description: An LA girl, unlucky in love, falls for an East Coast guy on a dating app and decides to surprise him for the holidays, only to discover that she’s been catfished. This lighthearted romantic comedy chronicles her attempt to reel in love.
Attica – Saturday, November 6

Showtime’s latest documentary revisits one of the most violent prison uprisings in recent memory as told by survivors, observers, and experts. Attica debuts Saturday, November 6 at 9/8c on Showtime.
Documentary Description: Survivors, observers, and expert government officials recount the 1971 uprising at the Attica Correctional Facility. The violent five-day standoff between mostly Black and Latino inmates and law enforcement gripped America then, and highlights the urgent, ongoing need for reform 50 years later.
