Netflix Tudum: 10 Things We Learned

Bridgerton, News, Sex Education, Stranger Things

Netflix’s Tudum, global fan event, streamed Saturday and offered fans from all over first looks, behind the scenes, interviews, teasers, and bits galore for their entire upcoming roster.

Yes, you heard that right. Entire upcoming roster. There’s a lot to unpack from the three-hour event, from renewals, returns, casting, and teases, so here are 10 things we learned from Tudum!

Stranger Things 4: No Premiere Date (still), But a New Teaser!

The new teaser, introduced by the Duffer brothers, Gaten Matarazzo, and Joe Keery, gives fans a peek at the Creel House, a location that will be playing a big part in the upcoming season.

Stranger Things: Enter the Creel House at your own risk with this exclusive tease of the newest locale in the upcoming fourth season.

The short clip features a family moving into this haunting-looking house, living their lives in what looks to be the 1950s.

Though all looks idyllic initially, the vibes take an eerie turn (thanks to that incredibly on-point use of “Dream a Little Dream of Me”), showing that something’s not right in the household followed by quick glimpses of flickering lights, radios going out, and bodies.

Unfortunately for fans, there’s still no exact return date for Stranger Things season 4. But we do know it will be returning sometime in 2022.

The Harder They Fall debuts later this year.

Sex Education: We’re Getting More of Mooredale!

Though the coming of age dramedy just dropped season 3 earlier this monthSex Education‘s segment not only offered some fun behind-the-scenes insight into the show, including how that Nigerian scene came together and Kedar Williams turn behind the camera, but also some excellent news for fans.

The show will be back for another season!

Bridgerton: Kate Sharma Exudes Big Elizabeth Bennet Energy and We Are Here For It

It’s been a long hiatus for Bridgerton fans (been made potentially longer by COVID delays). But with today’s event, we’re treated to a lovely panel featuring Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), and two newcomers to the cast Simone Ashley playing Kate Sharma and Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma where they talk all things regency romance and offer some hints about what’s to come.

Fans also get the very first (official) look at Simoney Ashley as Kate Sharma in action. The first clip dropped to the delight of the fandom and featured a rather tense conversation.

Kate’s less than impressed by Anthony and isn’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with him. The question now becomes what set it all off and this probably won’t be the last time we see the pair verbally sparring, right?
