Coroner Review: Round and Round (Season 3 Episode 7)
Liam and Eloise obviously have the most compelling journey on Coroner Season 3 Episode 7, “Round and Round,” but we are still made to assume all of the details about the accident.
For example, we don’t see him drink from the bottle of alcohol. I can’t decide if he does or not.
He definitely smashes the glass, so my first assumption is that he does not drink, but he could have smashed the bottle after he emptied the contents into his throat.

We don’t see the accident, either. The bottle of alcohol could have broken in the crash.
Coroner is a smart show, so hopefully, these choices are purposeful. I’m just not used to being so confused and not getting answers by the end of the episode.
Eloise and Liam’s goodbye is more emotional than expected. First of all, she is a horse. Secondly, the conclusion Liam comes to is sad.
She trusts him now. But the horse is a mirror, and when her new owner asks Liam what he sees in her, he says, “She was afraid.”
What does that mean for Liam, now? Is he still afraid of something? Or is he over that and therefore strong enough to go visit Jenny?

The last time Jenny and Liam were together, he told her he is seeing the woman from rehab. Those two clearly “broke up” and Liam left the rehab.
It’s a disappointing choice on Coroner‘s part because the only point of it is to break Jenny and Liam up so it looks like Jenny is in the wrong for having sex with Clark.
Jenny can obviously have sex with whoever she wants and she does have good chemistry with Clark.
The “Smash” room is a clever place for them to hook up, even if it is so literal it’s funny. Jenny does need to let out anger and from a practical standpoint, it’s probably COVID safe to film scenes of Jenny smashing ceramics intertwined with intimate scenes.
I’m not mad that Liam and Jenny are in the same room at the end of the episode, though. It’s a testament to Serinda Swan’s acting that I don’t ship her with Liam over Clark at this point. Jenny has the right to kick Liam into mud if that’s what she wants to do.

As for her work case, it’s great that Oshay Bennett is exonerated, but the path to get there is more forced than Coroner usually opts for.
The leader of a meeting for recovering addicts killing them via a detoxing sauna is so extreme and random it’s funny. Coroner should have fleshed out this arc with one more episode if we are not meant to take it as a joke.
Donovan’s “day off” is also laughable because it’s clear from the start of the episode that it is not going to last long.
He deserves a day off and needs months off to take care of his health. But what’s the point of the day off at all if he is just going to realize that he needs to take care of the hole in his spine while on a case at work?
Donovan’s scenes rollerskating with his new love interest are fun. I’ve always wanted to get to know Detective McAvoy better in settings outside of work. The scenes just don’t last long enough to enjoy them.
Can someone just knock some sense into him and make him actually deal with the hole in his spine or his cancer or both? I’m confused about all of the ailments he’s ignoring at this point, but he’s acting like a child.
