Big Brother Season 23 Week 8 Recap: Avenging Derek X’s Eviction
The women of the Big Brother Season 23 house come together to avenge Derek X.’s eviction.
That is all the women except for Sarah Beth. She is everyone’s number one target for axing the fan-favorite during Big Brother Season 23 Week 7.
The funniest part about this is that the entire house views Derek X. as a huge target, but now that he is gone they want to evict the person who The Cookout Alliance forces to put Derek X. on the chopping block. Sarah Beth can not catch a break!

It is no secret that Sarah Beth is not the most loved houseguest this season. So maybe Tiffany is using the Derek X. card as an excuse to get rid of someone she has been targeting for the last four weeks.
That is a great strategy on her part, especially when she did not vote against Sarah Beth to leave on eviction night.
Not only is Tiffany playing a flawless game, but she is also securing jury votes to win. By not voting to evict Sarah Beth, that is another potential vote that will be tossed her away on finale night. Tiffany knows she cannot take Kyland to the end with her if she does expect Sarah Beth’s vote though.
Tiffany’s game continues to improve now that she has an HOH win to add to her list of accomplishments. Right now, she and Xavier are the two biggest threats in the Big Brother house. Tiffany recognizes this and is working with Hannah and Azah to ensure the guys are the first ones to get out once The Cookout turns on one another.

Xavier has yet to make any indication of who he will target once The Cookout reaches the final six. And now that Tiffany’s plan is to turn Kyland and Xavier against one another, he may be one of the first members of his alliance to meet Julie Chen.
Though we still have a few weeks to go before finale night, Tiffany is doing well at guaranteeing herself $750,000.
Even when Tiffany loses her HOH reign due to the High Rollers Coin of Destiny game, she is still winning. Her BFF Claire decides to keep Kyland and Sarah Beth as nominees, which results in Tiffany’s target Sarah Beth exiting the Big Brother house.
Speaking of the High Rollers twist, talk about a letdown. Only three houseguests have enough BB bucks to play the game this week. Hannah is smart and does not play knowing it is better for her own game to keep Tiffany as HOH.

And Derek F. stupidly decides to play but throws the competition. What is the point of even playing the game if you did not plan to win, especially since it is all anonymous? Derek F. continues to show he is a worthy houseguest to bring along to Big Brother finale night because no jury member will pick him to win.
Hannah is finally showing her worth to The Cookout Alliance when she wins the Veto. Hannah is usually in the shadows, so it is nice to see her finally winning a competition. As the houseguests continue to be evicted, I expect Hannah to become more cutthroat.
Hannah is already plotting a final two deal with Tiffany, which is her best way to make it to Big Brother finale night for a second-place finish. At this point, Hannah only stands a chance at winning the game if she is in the final two with Derek F. or Azah.

And Kyland is digging his grave to become the first Cookout Alliance member to be evicted. It is laughable trying to watch him talk Hannah into using the Veto on him. This goes against what the team agrees upon since each alliance member is intended to sit on the block with their non-Cookout partner.
It’s no surprise that Sarah Beth is the one evicted from the Big Brother house and not Kyland. She is doomed as soon as she names Derek X. as the replacement nominee in week 7. If she does not listen to Kyland’s orders, she might still be playing the game.
It is surprising that Tiffany is the lone vote to keep Sarah Beth. Is she using this as a threat to Kyland? It will definitely make the game interesting in a few weeks when The Cookout must turn on one another and show their true colors.
