Big Brother Season 23 Week 12 Recap: And the Winner is…
The end of the Summer is upon us, and you know what that means. Big Brother Season 23 is coming to an end and is going to award someone $750,000.
Honestly, it is surprising CBS extended Big Brother to a Wqeek 12. With only three houseguests remaining, there is not a lot to mention until we get to finale night.
Let’s take the Flashback episode for instance. It’s great to see the final three toasting and having a meal together, but do we need to rewatch events from the 12 weeks all over again? If CBS continues to air this episode in future seasons of Big Brother, they should feature entirely new content — that is something I would love to see instead of this snoozefest.

The first part of the HOH competition goes exactly how you expect. It is an endurance competition and Xavier takes the victory. Derek F. once again shows how worthless he is at playing Big Brother. It is truly amazing going 12 weeks in this game and not winning a single competition.
And the second part of the HOH competition goes exactly how you expect too. Of course, Azah wins over Derek F. in an endurance and mental competition. We all make this exact prediction of the final HOH competition as soon as Kyland leaves the house in Big Brother Season 23 Week 11.
Even though Derek F. has done nothing but eat, sleep, and clean, he still believes he is the mastermind behind The Cookout alliance. Sorry Derek F., but we know Queen Tiffany is the brains behind the alliance and the reason you are still in the house.

And the Big Brother Season 23 jury is all in agreement that Derek F. is not the mastermind he thinks he may be. They are continuously laughing at his responses during the jury Q and A. The death stare Tiffany keeps giving Derek F. is enjoyable, but too bad we are not able to see her question him due to lac of time during the live episode.
Derek F. is not the only one claiming to starting The Cookout alliance. Xavier mentions this several times during the Q and A session. Though he does contribute to the success of the alliance, Tiffany should get the kudos she deserves from the final two.
Luckily, Brent of all people gives a shoutout to Tiffany for all the work she puts into keeping The Cookout a secret and taking them to the final six. I am glad Julie interviews some of the Big Brother houseguests who are able to watch the whole season from home. They know what truly is happening all summer.

After Derek F. getting nasty with Azah about carrying her the whole season, I was hoping for her to win Part 3 of the HOH competition. However, one small mistake costs her the chance of even earning the second place prize of $75,000.
Though an Xavier and Azah final two still guarantees Xavier wins, Azah may get some votes from the jury because of her excellent social game.
The live finale also reveals the secrets the houseguests are keeping from one another. It’s quite entertaining see the looks of shock as Hannah reveals she is actually really smart and studying to be a doctor.
I am perplexed as to why the houseguests are surprised by this one as Hannah never hides how intelligent she thinks she is while in the Big Brother house.
The jury makes the right decision by all voting for Xavier to win this game. Derek F. by no means deserves $75,000 for second place, but at least he is not given the $750,000 prize. Xavier is a competition beast and a strategic thinker, so I am happy with someone worthy being victorious.

And my girl Tiffany pulls off the win for America’s Favorite Houseguest. The fans pick a worthy recipient for this prize, which increases to $50,000 this season.
That’s a wrap on Big Brother Season 23. I am already looking forward to some more wild and crazy antics next summer. And we will get another installment of Celebrity Big Brother in February to fill the void until next July.
