The CW Releases Summer Schedule
The CW has finally announced its plans for summer, with good news for Stargirl fans, and bad news for Riverdale fans.
TVLine reports that Stargirl Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Aug. 10. It will be joined by Superman & Lois, which then gives way to the final 13 episodes of Supergirl on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
Riverdale, which was supposed to come back in July, will now return Wednesday, Aug. 11.
Other notable summer premieres include: Roswell, New Mexico Season 3 Monday, July 26, In the Dark Season 3 Wednesday, June 23, and Burden of Truth Season 4 Thursday, Aug. 19.
Wellington Paranormal, a spinoff of What We Do In The Shadows, has its U.S. premiere with two episodes Sunday, July 11.

Vanessa Lachey to Lead ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’
Fresh off its official pick up, NCIS: Hawai’i has cast its leading lady. According to Deadline, Vanessa Lachey will portray the franchise’s first woman Special Agent in Charge, Jane Tennant.
Leading a team out of NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane is “as diplomatic as she is hard-charging. A woman in a male-dominated profession, she’s thrived in a system that’s pushed back every step of the way through equal parts confidence and strategy.
But Tennant is more than just a job and a title. She’s a mother raising her kids mostly on her own. Like any parent who loves their career and their family – she’s a master juggler – balancing the duty to both her children and her country.”
Lachey is joined by fellow series regulars Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon.
Al-Bustami is Lucy, “confident in the way that reflects a lifetime of achievement and youthful enthusiasm, Lucy is the junior member of Tennant’s NCIS team. Eager to be the first one to find that key piece of evidence, create a workaround in the bureaucracy, or tackle a suspect down a flight of stairs.”
Antoon is Ernie, “NCIS’s Cyber Intelligence Specialist. Ernie is a polyglot with a keen mind for technology, history, literature and all things Hawaiian. He’s an essential component of the team, who can trace an anonymous ip address or profile a suspect using only their social media footprint. Ernie doesn’t have family on the island so he’s invited himself to join his Team’s families.”
The addition of Hawai’i means CBS will once again have three different NCIS shows on its schedule. NCIS will return for Season 19 and NCIS: LA has been renewed for Season 13. NCIS: New Orleans is set to air its series finale Sunday, May 23.
NCIS: LA airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
NCIS: New Orleans airs Sundays at 10/0c on CBS.
NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.

‘Green Lantern’ Taps Finn Wittrock as Guy Gardner
HBO Max has found its Guy Gardner for the upcoming Green Lantern series. Emmy nominee Finn Wittrock will take on the role of the 1980s Green Lantern, per dccomics.com.
Per the character description: “Guy is a hulking mass of masculinity, and, as rendered in the comics, an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism. And yet, Guy is somehow likable.”
“Green Lantern reinvents the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta. They’ll be joined by a multitude of other Lanterns—from comic book favorites to never-before-seen heroes.”
Wittrock is well known to fans of Ryan Murphy’s various shows, having appeared in American Horror Story, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, and Ratched.
Green Lantern is co-written and executive produced by Arrowverse bosses Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, alongside Green Lantern comics writer and Stargirl creator Geoff Johns.

‘Invincible’ Gets Two Season Renewal from Amazon
The acclaimed animated series Invincible has been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3 at Amazon, per Variety.
The series is based on a comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Kirkman announced the renewal on Twitter with star Steven Yeun.
Invincible follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson as he reckons with the fact that his father is superhero Omni-Man, as well as his own growing powers. Yeun voices Mark, and J.K. Simmons portrays his father.
“I’m extremely thankful to Amazon for the support and dedication they’ve put behind Invincible,” Kirkman said in a statement. “The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory (Walker) and I grew up reading and loving, and it’s been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We’re beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons.”
Invincible is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
