Preview — Tell Me A Story Season 2 Episode 2: Writer’s Block
Tell Me A Story Season 2 Episode 2, “Writer’s Block,” the twisted fairy tales are already starting to come together.
This episode sees some relationships strengthen while others fall apart at the seams. Ashely grows closer to Beau, who has his own mysteries up his sleeve. Meanwhile, Ashley’s sister Maddie continues to question her relationship with her fiancé Tucker.
The episode’s title clearly has a lot to do with Tucker, since he is looking for inspiration for his writing in really unconventional and illegal ways. Maddie’s concerns about their relationship aren’t misconstrued, because Tucker is a lot more than distant. He’s so distant he’s breaking into another woman’s house.
However, it also has to do with Ashley. She’s recovering from an unimaginable trauma that derailed her dreams. That can’t be easy, especially when her mother seems to only care about Ashley’s appearance and abilities – not her well-being.
Rebecca’s cold nature understandably pushes Ashley closer to someone who is around more and willing to listen — Beau.
That’s not all, just as Jackson tries to find his Cinderella, she has to deal with her evil stepmother. Simone’s attendance at her father’s funeral creates even more tension between the two women.

Episode description: Ashley (Natalie Alyn Lind) struggles to adjust to her new reality but finds a moment of solace with Beau (Eka Darville), who has his own burdens to bear. Maddie (Odette Annable) starts to second guess her upcoming wedding to Tucker (Paul Wesley) as his distant behavior continues to deepen.
Simone (Ashley Madekwe) attends her estranged father’s funeral and learns her stepmother (guest star Garcelle Beauvais) may be even more evil than she thought possible. Also starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Matt Lauria.
The episode was written by Steve Stringer and directed by Solvan “Slick” Naim.
