The CW’s DCTV catalog continues to expand with its latest addition, Swamp Thing. The series originally aired on the streaming service DC Universe. It comes to The CW as a part of the network’s new fall lineup of nearly all alternate programming

Swamp Thing Season 1 Episode 1, “Pilot,” follows Abby Arcane, a CDC investigator, to the small Louisiana town of Marais when a mysterious illness strikes the area.

Meanwhile, biologist Alex Holland disappears during an investigation of the depths of the swamps and something else rises in his place — Swamp Thing.

Swamp Thing is a mysterious creature born of the swamp’s mythical and terrifying secrets. These creepy details support the show’s decision to premiere at the beginning of the spooky season.

Avid fans of DCTV shows on The CW will recall that Swamp Thing is a part of the new multiverse introduced during Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 Episode 1, “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five.”
