Emmys 2020: Winners Include ‘Schitt’s’ Creek,’ ‘Watchmen,’ and ‘Succession’

EMMYS, Euphoria, I Know This Much Is True, News, Schitt's Creek, Succession, The Morning Show, Watchmen

Not even a global pandemic can stop The Emmy® Awards. This year’s awards show, however, was wildly different than what we’re used to, with the winners accepting awards from remote locations and trophies being delivered by people in hazmat suits.

Still, The Emmys was a very real celebration of television thanks to impressive innovation and enthusiasm across the board.

Jimmy Kimmel did say it best when he opened the show: “What’s happening tonight is not important. It’s not going to stop COVID. It’s not going to put out the fires. But it’s fun. And right now, we need fun.”

As for the winners, Schitt’s Creek swept the comedy category in its entirety this year — making history as the first comedy to win all seven categories. Watchmen took home three awards, including the award for Outstanding Limited Series.
