Welcome to Shaker Heights, Ohio where the Richardson’s lives are about to be upended.

Little Fires Everywhere Season 1 Episode 1, “The Spark,” kicks off the story of two families living in a utopian suburbia. That is, until Mia Warren (Kerry Washington) and her daughter Pearl arrive. 

After renting to the mother and daughter, Elena Richardson (Reese Witherspoon) invites them to work in her home, but soon discovers that Mia might be hiding something.

Episode description: The picture-perfect lives of the Richardson family are upended by the mysterious arrival of artist Mia Warren and her daughter Pearl in Shaker Heights, OH – an idyllic town founded on the utopian principals of harmony and order. Egged on by her guilty conscious, do-gooder Elena Richardson rents to the mother-daughter duo, irrevocably intertwining the fates of the two families.
