TV News Wrap-Up: ‘Riverdale’ Crosses Over with ‘Katy Keene’, Watergate Series Finds Its Stars, ‘All Rise’ Gets a New Showrunner, and More
Impeachment hearings are dominating the ratings right now, but there is still plenty of news to be had. While many shows are currently on holiday break, there are several in-production series making announcements about their cast and staffing.
Take a look at some of the highlights in this week’s TV News Wrap-Up.

All Rise is getting a new showrunner. An exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter states, that Dee Harris-Lawrence will be taking over after Sunil Nayar’s departure. Harris is coming off a run of OWN’s David Makes Man, where she was a first-time showrunner.

Kevin Costner is going to write and produce an ABC procedural. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Costner will be teaming up with former The Flash showrunner, Aaron Helbing to co-write the script for ISB. ISB tells the story of “the elite special agents of the Investigative Services Branch, who are tasked with solving the most complex and heinous crimes committed within the diverse and majestic national parks of the ISB’s Pacific West region.”
Locke & Key has finally gotten a Netflix premiere date. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series based on a Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez comic will drop on the streaming service on February 7th. The series stars Scandal‘s Darby Stanchfield, follows a mom and her three children after the gruesome murder of her father. They move into their ancestral home Keyhouse, which may hold magical keys that are connected to their father’s death.

Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux will star in a limited series based on the Watergate scandal. TV Line reports that the five-episode series entitled The White House Plumbers will star Harrelson as former CIA officer E. Howard Hunt and Theroux will play former FBI agent G. Gordon Liddy. Both former intelligence officers worked for former President Richard Nixon and helped plan the break-in that ultimately led to his downfall. They eventually served prison time for their role in the scandal.
Katy Keene will be visiting Riverdale before her eponymous series premieres. According to TV Line, a day before Katy Keene premieres, fans can expect to see Lucy Hale when Veronica pays a visit to Katy’s world in New York City. The episode will see Veronica go on a college interview and check-in with her friend. The crossover is slated to air on Wednesday, February 5th at 8/7c, a day ahead of the Katy Keene series premiere on February 6th.
