Arielle Kebbel on Mental Health and Her Upcoming NBC Series ‘Lincoln’ [Video]
This past weekend, we caught up with actress and ATX Television Festival Advisory Board Member Arielle Kebbel on the red carpet to talk about what makes the festival unique, the importance of discussing mental health, and her recently announced upcoming series on NBC, Lincoln.
Kebbel, who has attended this event all but one year since it began, gushed about why she loves the ATX Television Festival.
“What I love is it’s truly a celebration of television. And we all know how hard we work,” Kebbel said. “It’s such a fun combination of work and play. And I think that’s really important. I think when you work so hard you also have to really celebrate the wins and remind all of us to have fun along the way.”

Kebbel was also part of a panel during the panel discussing television and mental health.
“I’m on the panel with some great television creators and producers, and it was really important to me to be on this panel and just talk about the power that we have in this platform of television to normalize mental health.”
Kebbel also joined for the Grand Hotel screening and panel during this year’s festival. You’ll have a chance to see her on that show this summer when it premieres June 17th on ABC. After that, she’ll be starring as Amelia Sachs on Lincoln, which is based on Jeffery Deaver’s book series The Bone Collector. Lincoln will premiere midseason on NBC.

“I still can’t believe I’m on a serial killer show because I’m terrified of that, but I love my character so much. She’s an intuitive cop, and she partners with Lincoln Rhyme to find the Bone Collector, this infamous serial killer. And speaking of mental health, she herself actually has some PTSD. She has various anxiety disorders that we’ll get into more in the season,” Kebbel explained.
“She’s just so layered,” Kebbel added. “I’m excited to continue to bring her to life.”
