30 Favorite TV Couples from 2018
30 Favorite TV Couples from 2018 (continued):
11. Bellamy Blake and Echo (The 100)

Bellamy and Echo may be the most controversial couple on this list but for many, their relationship was a highlight of The 100 Season 5. From enemies to friends to lovers, Bellamy and Echo have come a long way from the cages of Mount Weather.
Even Clarke admits that these two are good for each other. Bellamy and Echo are both such strong characters, but they allow their relationship to be a place where each of them can be vulnerable and open in a world where that kind of safety and comfort is rare.
The world they came back to after spending six relatively peaceful years in space was nothing like the home they expected to return to, but they stood by each other through it all, fighting for the family they built together every step of the way.
After surviving Blodreina, Bellamy, and Echo can handle whatever the new world has in store for them.
12. Piper and Alex (Orange is the New Black)

This year Piper and Alex got married, just before Piper was released, and let’s just say it’s the best prison wedding we’ve ever seen.
Piper: I need you, you’re my partner.
Their relationship has seen highs and lows, betrayals and heartache, and unexpected joy. Prison could have been the worst thing to happen to Piper and Alex, and while it’s still a pretty awful experience to live through, it also brought them back to each other.
They’ve come to love and accept each other completely. Piper and Alex have made it clear that they will do whatever it takes to keep each other safe and make each other happy. We can’t wait to see how they handle being on opposite sides of the prison bars on Orange is the New Black Season 7.
13. Charles and Liza (Younger)

Charles and Liza finally, finally got together on Younger Season 5 and we couldn’t be happier for these two lovebirds. Though Charles learning Liza’s real age created some uncomfortable tension between them at the beginning of the season, it eventually allowed them to begin a real relationship with no more secrets or lies hanging between them.
They created their own happy little world inside their bubble, but outside of it they still have to navigate Liza’s lie, Charles’ ex-wife, enemies of Empiracle, and Josh realizing that he’s still in love with Liza.
Charles: I have got everything I want. I’m happy.
Liza: Then so am I.
While Charles and Liza may still have their fair share of obstacles standing between them and happily ever after, but now they are free to love each other in the light and face those obstacles openly together.
14. Alec and Magnus (Shadowhunters)

This list wouldn’t be complete without Alec and Magnus from Shadowhunters, who won Ship of The Year in TellTaleTV’s 2018 Battle of the Ships.
This year wasn’t the easiest for Alec and Magnus, in fact, it may have been their toughest yet. On top of dealing with the supernatural problems of the Shadowhunter world, they also had to face some of the more complicated parts of what it means to be in a long-term relationship.
The growing pains only brought them closer together though, and they made important relationship strides together. Magnus is now fully accepted as part of the family, even by Alec’s mother, which is a pretty big deal. We can’t wait to see the next chapter of their journey in 2019.
15. Ava and Sara (Legends of Tomorrow)

A former assassin and a clone step on to a time ship and fight with a pirate. If that sentence made you swoon you might just be a Legends of Tomorrow fan and a weekly witness to one of the best ships on TV, Avalance.
Sara and Ava were always going to be one of the coolest, most fun couples in the Arrowverse, but they’ve also turned out to be one of the healthiest, sweetly romantic, and of course sexy as hell.
In the midst of all the crazy irreverence that comes with being a Legend, and in no small part because of the effortless chemistry between Caity Lotz and Jes Macallan, Ava and Sara are the supportive emotional touchstones the other needs.
They see the best in each other and build each other up, making them not only a shining example of great LGBT representation but an example of how to write for any couple in any genre.
16. Mike and Rachel (Suits)

It feels rare for a long-time TV couple to get their happy ending, but Mike and Rachel from Suits got just that. The power couple overcame incredible odds, and they learned to support each other and to call each other out when they needed to.
In their final season, they realized how much they enjoyed working together — and how well they worked as a legal team.
With both Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams ready to leave the show, they got an ending that allowed them to have the wedding they’d been waiting for just before leaving New York for an opportunity that would let them work together doing what they really cared about. It was a happy ending both characters most certainly deserved.
17. Sabrina and Harvey (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)

Harvey and Sabrina were one of the most iconic couples of the 90s, and their modern-day counterparts are just as perfect for each other. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina introduced Harvey and Sabrina as an established item and their love was one of the softest and purest parts of Season 1.
Harvey: There’s no flying in my life without you, Sabrina Spellman.
Harvey is gentle and kind and he loves Sabrina with all his heart, and Sabrina is wild and uncertain about a lot of things, but she knows she will always love Harvey.
18. Elena and Syd (One Day at a Time)

Season 2 of One Day at a Time featured Elena exploring her sexuality and finding her first love. Syd is perfect for Elena in every way. They have so much in common and match each other in their nerdiness, awkwardness, and passionate enthusiasm.
Elena: I like you so much. Like so, so much.
Syd brings out a playfulness and carefree side of Elena that we hadn’t seen much of before. One Day at a Time is normalizing LGBT+ romance, non-binary people, and doing a great job of consistently using they/them pronouns for Syd and showing their relationship with Elena as they would any other teen romance.
Elena and Syd have the kind of joyful young love that everyone dreams about.
19. Joelle and Reggie (Dear White People)

On Dear White People Season 2 Reggie finally wakes up to the phenomenal enigma that is Joelle. The payoff is huge as we get a colorful, sexy and hilarious scene of them getting in on and getting interrupted.
On the angsty path to their union, Joelle shows us that you can be confident while you wait for the special someone to recognize your worth.
So often, we see a woman finding her voice when and because her love interest loves her back. Joelle counters that with a healthier and more attractive approach. She is in pain knowing Reggie has been pining for Sam. But, she feels bad for herself, not about herself.
We’re so glad Reggie is finally feeling Joelle and ready to be a top couple of 2018.
20. Yolanda and Arthie (GLOW)

Yolanda came onto the GLOW team on Season 2 as an openly gay badass and stole Arthie’s heart with her easy confidence and her warm smile. Before Arthie was shy and had trouble standing up for herself or accepting compliments. But Yolanda shows her how empowering it can be to embrace who she is.
Arthie: I don’t want this to end.
Their relationship may have just begun, but we have high hopes for their romance to continue on GLOW Season 3.
