Cloak & Dagger Review: Funhouse Mirrors (Season 1 Episode 6)
Cloak & Dagger Season 1 Episode 6, “Funhouse Mirrors,” is one of the top episodes of the season, hands down. The storylines take their own twists, leaving viewers with tears at the end.
I like that Tandy and Tyrone are living their own separate lives and staying more distant, but at the same time, they have one another there to help when needed. Tandy’s powers are becoming easier and easier for her to use. Tyrone’s powers, on the other hand, not so much.
This episode is one of the top episodes of the season, for me, because of Ally Maki’s character, Mina Hess. I don’t know what it is about Maki, but things seem more joyous when she’s on screen.
She just naturally brings a smile to people’s faces. We all know someone like that, every time they’re around you’re automatically in an upbeat, happy mood.

I hope that Mina calling Tandy out for lying doesn’t ruin their friendship in any way because I don’t want this to be the last we see of Mina. But, I like the way Tandy takes ownership of the fact that she lies on a constant basis.
If there’s any time to start telling the truth why not now? She’s lied her entire life, so no, telling the truth to Mina was not the first thing that popped into her mind because she’s not used to it.
When you have to grow up the way that Tandy grew up the set instincts you have are warped and not like a normal person.

What’s interesting is that when Tandy uses her hope abilities on Mina’s father his mind was locked inside of a vault. Behind the vault is a shadowy mist that resembles the same shadow that surrounds Tyrone. Could Mina’s father have the abilities of Cloak since he was hit with the same blast wave?
It’s a possibility that if Mina or any doctor figures out how to cure Ivan his powers could become active, then what would happen to the prophecy of the divine pairing? There’s even the possibility of Tyrone going to Ivan and seeing what would happen if he tried to use his powers on him. It could either go horribly wrong or incredibly great.
O’Reilly needs to realize that when the other cop warned her about not messing with Connors he wasn’t joking in the slightest. Connors is one shady ass, dirty cop who only cares about money and himself and if she is going to get in the way of that then he’s going to take her out.

EMMA LAHANA, J.D. EVERMORE
Anyone is disposable to Connors, even Duane. It sucks that O’Reilly couldn’t answer Tyrone’s phone call and avoid shooting Duane. She knows that the timing wasn’t good, but obviously if Tyrone is calling it has something to do with Connors.
What’s messed up is now Connors has seen Tyrone disappear into thin air, three times. Tandy has told Tyrone so many times to practice his powers for moments exactly like this. I get it, his powers are a little harder to control, but he doesn’t practice nearly as much as he should be.
This season is playing out nicely and makes me thirsty for the last part of the season. If Ivan has the same abilities as Tyrone then that means he could also be the one to die in the prophecy.

AUBREY JOSEPH
The ending is the saddest because Tyrone can’t do anything but break down after watching Duane get shot and being shot at himself, but Tandy can’t do anything to help him because of their powers.
