The consequences of Jesse’s actions come to fruition on Preacher Season 3 Episode 3, “Gonna Hurt.”
Now that Jesse’s back in Angelville, years after abandoning it, Miss Marie isn’t going to let him go until he repays his debts. One soul at a time. This could send him down a path of no return, or offer him a more permanent way out.
Meanwhile, Tulip and Cass have had it with Jesse’s family and Angelville. They make plans to secure their own ticket out.
This ticket may or may not include harming Miss Marie and her sidekicks in some way.
