1. Danny Rand’s Next Appearance

Team-ups are always exciting and the Marvel Netflix shows were built around them. After Luke Cage and Danny Rand had such a great rapport in The Defenders, the two are set to have another run in with each other on the set of Luke Cage Season 2.

Mike Colter commented, “People who have watched, and have paid attention, know that he will be appearing in season 2 of Luke Cage. And I think what we do there will be even cooler for the fans of Heroes for Hire.”

2. Mike Colter Isn’t Just a Superhero

Even though Mike Colter plays a great good guy, he doesn’t want to stick with the role indefinitely.

“When you play a superhero, you got everyone thinking that you’re a good guy. And you know, you kind of want to break it up a little and diversify,” said Colter.

That is why he took the “heel” role in the movie Girls Trip, as well as a role in an upcoming religious movie. “I’m looking for content that gives people something to make them think,” he further explained.

It is great to see actors jump into different roles and stretch our views of them. No one likes to see their favorite celebrities typecast — not even if they’re really good in their usual characters.

3. Elodie Yung Wants To Branch Out

While watching The Defenders, it is easy to start wondering where all the characters will go next. Elodie Yung says that she would like to see Elektra branch out to all the Marvel shows across Netflix. Let’s hope since she is willing, that the producers are as well.

There is no sense in keeping the characters confined to a couple of shows when they can spread them across all of them. Come on, every show needs an extra rebellious female!

4. Jason Moore Didn’t Use Comics For Inspiration

Usually while filming, pictures pop online of actors reading their source material to help get into their roles. This wasn’t the case for Jason Moore.

“The character wasn’t that big and extensive in the comics —I mean he is in like one issue. It gave me free rein,” Moore explained.

He continues to say that the shows forerunner just told him to keep rolling with it. When the makers of the show give their blessing to an actor’s interpretation, it makes for some great moments on television — this especially proves true with Jason Moore’s portrayal.

5. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones Could Have a Daughter

Following the comic books, Luke and Jessica’s relationship results in them having a super-powered child. Now having a kid around almost always complicates things, and oftentimes screws up the formula of our favorite shows — so honestly this could go either way.

Mike Colter gave his opinion on this, “I enjoyed The Incredibles, where they had the family go and fight crime together. If they could find some way to do it and make it work, sure. I mean because otherwise it becomes endgame.”

Let’s just hope we don’t see Jessica pushing a stroller out into battle!

6. The Actors Don’t Always Know Their Guest Stars

You would think that Mike Colter, Elodie Yung, and Jason Moore would always have the inside scoop about who is going to crossover to each show, but that isn’t necessarily true.

Elodie Yung said, “Our knowledge is limited. We have to be honest here.”

Mike Colter chimed in, “Agents of Shield shoots in LA, and I would totally be down with that. I live in LA . Sign me up, I’ll come to Agents of Shield.”

Luke Cage shaking hands with Agent Coulson? I’d definitely be okay with that!

7. The Defenders Season 2

There is nothing worse than when a fantastic series never gets past the first season — especially when we only got 8 episodes out of the deal. Unfortunately, that just might be what we get from this mighty crossover.

“While everyone enjoyed The Defenders, some of our other fans prefer the individual shows. While I would personally love to do an additional season, I don’t feel it is logistically possible,” Mike Colter had to say on the subject.

He later went on to add, that there is a possibility that other team-up shows such as Heroes For Hire, could still take place. Let’s hope that Colter is right, and we don’t end up with this mighty group of heroes being just a one-hit-wonder.

8. Jason Moore On MCU Connection

It is often argued whether of not the Marvel Netflix shows tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it is great to contemplate, in reality, it would be very difficult to wrap everything under one beautiful bow.

The Punisher’s Jason Moore voiced his concern, “It’s complicated. To create a universe that big, the continuity issues would be something to consider. I’m just being honest, you have to worry about that stuff.”

9. Elodie Yung Wants A Wardrobe Change

No matter the hero, they always have their standard crime-fighting outfit. And it better be comic book accurate, if the fans have anything to say about it. As an actor, it probably gets to be a pretty boring game of dress-up.

“I ask for more, and they are like, ‘No, this is your costume for the season.’ It really helps to have the right shoes; the right costume to feel that you are this character,” Eldoie Yung had to say.

10. Chicago Food

Chicago is best known for gluttonous foods, such as deep dish pizza and hot dogs. Of course, these don’t fit very well into a superhero’s rigorous workout routine.

Mike Colter commented, “I try to keep myself looking normal, like somewhat a superhero. I’m sorry, but I can’t eat your food. Your food is heavy, I’m sorry.”

Yung added that she used to love the deep dish pizza, but a year ago she started eating gluten-free. That has to be frustrating, but at least that leaves more for me!
