18 Times Lucifer was the Best Character on ‘Supernatural’
13. Dancing Queen

This brings us to the final moment chosen from this batch of Season 11 moments. Dean and Castiel discover what happened to Sam and come to bargain his release.
This moment could have been all menacing and no fun. All fists and no feet. However, that is not Lucifer’s style.
He doesn’t just ruin people’s lives he likes to have a bit of fun too. He loves to dance.
We know that what comes next can either be really good for Sam but bad for either Dean or Cas OR really good for Dean and Cas but bad for Sam. So let’s have a bit of fun before getting down to business, shall we?
I’m sorry but if Lucifer were standing before me and he just starts to dance, you can bet I would crack a smile. I may even get out my dancing shoes for a bit.
14. Creating Jack

One of Lucifer’s first human-esque moments comes when he creates a child with a human lover of his current vessel, Jefferson Rooney. The child is a niphilim and extra special which initially is Lucifer’s plan for domination.
After Jack is born it is apparent that Lucifer has more than just villainous plans for his child. He actually has a few paternal feelings for the kid. No matter how far down those feelings may be.
It’ll be interesting to see his bond with Jack grow and change as the series goes on. It’s nice knowing that God’s words weren’t entirely false when he said that Lucifer isn’t a villain.
15. Lucifer and Mary

Having Mary back in Supernatural Season 12 is a blessing the fans never knew they deserved. So of course, that has to be ruined or altered in some way, right?
Enter Lucifer.
This guy just doesn’t know when to quit. He just takes and takes and takes until there is nothing left. He has already created enough chaos and destruction for the Winchester’s to last a lifetime. So, of course, he manipulates the situation with Mary to bring her with him to the alternate timeline.
This is wonderful to see because it shows the fans that Lucifer isn’t always as strong as he thinks he is. Mary can stand up to him in the strongest of ways, which speaks volumes. Sure, he doesn’t actually want her harmed because she’s his ticket out. However, he still isn’t all powerful in this realm which makes him a bit more relatable.
He is almost human.
16. Killing Rowena and Crowley

If Mary and Jack are proof that Lucifer has a human side, then Rowena and Crowley remind us that he is still also Satan.
To round out Season 12, Lucifer shows off his strength and power by killing the only two people standing in his way of taking Hell back for himself. Lucifer wants power, it’s always his ultimate goal.
To manipulate and dig the knife deeper into the Winchesters he kills Rowena. He burns her to a crisp and then calls the boys up to tell them just that.

Crowley’s death was more of a suicide than Lucifer actually killing him. However, Lucifer has a hand in it no matter which way you spin it. Ultimately the move gives Hell to Asmodeus instead of Lucifer, so he loses in the end either way.
While Crowley’s death seems to be permanent, his mother’s is not. Rowena is a witch of the highest coven for crying out loud. No amount of Lucifer is going to end her for good. After all, this is his second time trying.
Like so many of Lucifer’s plans, this one seems to have blown up in his face. Thank you, rift into an alternate timeline. Though with how things are currently going I am sure he will be defeating Asmodeus very soon and taking Hell back as his own. After all, he is one slick archangel, even when his strength isn’t up to par.
17. Castiel and Lucifer, Dynamic Duo?

Fans never thought they would see the day where Castiel and Lucifer would be on the same side once more. After all, Lucifer stabbed his brother the last time they did.
However, being locked in their own personal hell in alternate Michael’s cage will do that to even the most mortal of enemies. To be honest, this partnership is one of the best things to come out of Season 13 so far.
Two of the sassiest characters coming together to escape back into their world is more enjoyable than first realized. They play off each other really well which is a testament to Misha and Mark.
These last few episodes this season have been enjoyable to watch because it’s some of Mark’s best work. He carefully constructs this new image of Lucifer. A more human and forgiving version of the villain.
18. No grace, No problem…

Finally, this season when Lucifer realizes he has no grace and is in fact human. This allows fans to see the full spectrum of Mark Pellegrino’s abilities because Lucifer now has to contend with not only his desires of power but also his desires for food and sleep.
There are many times that this creates humor and joy because Lucifer doesn’t know how to handle any of it. He is a fish out of water and he doesn’t like it.
The best part of his human experience comes when he tries out street begging. He thinks that his usual barking of orders will get him what he needs. He soon finds out that only works when you have a bit of “oomf” to back it up.
Lucifer has an angel who is willing to be his grace supply, for now. Let’s see where this goes. I’d prefer Lucifer to stay human just for the comedy of it all. History shows us that nothing on this show is permanent so it’s only a matter of time.
