18 Inspiring TV Heroes of 2017
7. Hasil Farrell (Outsiders)

Hasil Farrell has many reasons to be a deadbeat dad. He lives on a mountain, he has no money, and his family won’t allow Sally Ann to live with the Outsiders even if she wanted to.
None of these reasons stop him from taking responsibility to his unborn child. In fact, he moves into town and even attempts to do hard labor. When that doesn’t pan out, he instead opts to slug it out with total strangers in bare-fisted brawls for “paper.”
Furthermore, he tries to domesticate himself even though the wild is always trying to call him back home.
After all this, when things finally appear to be smoothing out, Hasil returns home temporarily to fight alongside his kin in the fight for their lives.
8. Martin Stein (Legends of Tomorrow)

Martin Stein is best known as one half of Firestorm on DC’s Legends Tomorrow. While Jefferson Jackson is the brawn, Martin is the brains of the operation.
Oftentimes, the two halves of Firestorm are played off as the bickering “odd couple,” but when Crisis on Earth-X hits, total seriousness kicks in.
Surrounded by Nazis, Stein decides to separate from his partner and go it alone. Shot in the back, twice, Martin makes the ultimate sacrifice for not only his “son,” but his entire team.
Luckily for Jefferson, Cisco Ramon creates a concoction beforehand that is able to separate both characters permanently.
RIP Martin Stein. Your honor holds no bounds.
9. Kevin Finn (Kevin Probably Saves the World)

On Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, the main character is considered to be a righteous soul. Kevin is then given the task of finding the other thirty-five righteous souls remaining.
Along the way, the universe has him lending a hand to various people that he encounters. Kevin helps the son of the brewery pub owner to find his true path. Later, he guides Lucille and her sister, Anne, to reconcile after humorous events that cause them to realize a clock isn’t all it is cracked up to be.
Additionally, he helps a man look for a job that has been unemployed for quite awhile. Kevin even pays for insulin for a child with diabetes, and then beats up his deadbeat father so he’ll start paying the child support he owes.
His niece admits to Kevin that she thinks he is “weird,” but he uses his weirdness to help people, so that all adds up.
10. Wynonna Earp (Wynonna Earp)

How can a female, demon-slaying relative of Wyatt Earp, become more hardcore than she already is? Make her pregnant, of course.
Wynonna Earp’s “condition” doesn’t stop her from anything, not even handsprings and other acrobatics.
Most shows might reel back the character, making it more about the drama and less about the action, but that isn’t the case here. What a great way to tell the world that being pregnant isn’t a hindrance, but a motivation to make the world a better place!
11. J’onn J’onzz /Martian Manhunter (Supergirl)

J’onn J’onzz is the leader of the DEO alongside others, including the one and only, Supergirl.
Besides that, he is also a refugee of the planet Mars. The White Martians destroyed the last of his kind years ago, but when he receives a distress call from his former home, J’onn doesn’t hesitate to jump into action.
His friend, M’gann, recruits him into a group of rebels that want to prevent the White Martians from becoming all powerful.
In doing so, not only does he get a taste of revenge for his fallen brothers, but he also discovers his long-lost father is still alive. This goes to prove that being a hero isn’t always a thankless job.
12. Eleven (Stranger Things)

In the first season of Stranger Things, Eleven shows off her powers by protecting her friends. In the second season, she proves her loyalty by risking her safety just to reunite with them.
Eleven is securely hidden in a cabin where no one, except for Hopper, knows where she is. Her desperation to see Mike and the others causes her to lash out and make her way to her friend’s sides.
Unfortunately, Hopper, her protector/jailer stands in the way, but not for long. Eleven needs her friends, and her friends need her. Apparently, no danger can stand in the way of true companionship.

OCTAVIA IS NOT A HERO! She betrayed her own people. CLARKE IS THE HERO and the starring character on THE 100 show some respect!
I wouldn’t say Octavia is a hero either Clarke saved everyone on multiple occasions. I like Octavia but I just feel like it doesn’t make that much sense.
Of these above I route for Octavia.
But I do have two other BIG FAVS as well and the first one is Vanessa Van Helsing from Van Helsing. She is a one of a kind, deadserious vampire-slayer. Definitely a fav of mine.
Then, yeah I was late to the Supergirl party and only discovered Supergirl a few months ago. I love both Kara and Alex, but Alex who is a human being with no superpowers, damn she kicks ass and stays true to herself. She is strong and cares big time for her sister. Great qualities.
I learnt one big lesson from the kids-discussion and the breakup-scene, and I wish that I years ago in a similar situation had been as smart as Alex and stayed true to myself instead for trying to wait things out. You are allowed to go for what you want, else there will just be regrets latwr in life. So Alex Danvers has done the biggest impact on me and is my top FAV of 2017 and will be for 2018.
What…no Vanessa VanHelsing?
